Wow. RT makes a big difference in that scene.
Utterly impressive..
Only if they managed to pull this off in the performance mode.. AW2 would've been the first game I'd try on my PS5 PRO..
this image is fake, ignore it pleaseWow. RT makes a big difference in that scene.
Dam! I was blown away! Such a shame!Sorry guys, I just realized that this is not the real PS5 PRO shot, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to delete a post
I blame myselfthis image is fake, ignore it please

This is frustrating. The whole point of the Pro was to give players fidelity-like image quality at 60fps. But what Sony have done now is given Pro users the same problem yet again - they will toggle between Fidelity and Performance and see the former looking so much better. The cycle is just repeated.
Yeah but the performance mode is an option now again for a lot of people, because it wont look like absolute shit
Aside from FF7Rebirth, when was that really a significant issue?
Lots of games looks pretty low ress in perf modes. Ronin looked pretty bad, new DA looks low ress, MHW, AW2 and the list goes on and on. Even games like spiderman 2 looked pretty blurry in 60 fps mode
Rise of Ronin. I'd like a documentary series on how that game looks so bad, and yet struggles on new hardware. It's truly a feat.
That's exactly what they have done. They've given Fidelity quality at 60fps. Every game shown so far has shown this clearly. I'm baffled how people are getting confused. This is frustrating. Pro patch isn’t out yet. So this is dynamic resolution being pushed up from the get go?
60fps mode looks much sharper on the Pro
It’s using PSSR though. Alan Wake 2 doesn’t have DRS.Pro patch isn’t out yet. So this is dynamic resolution being pushed up from the get go?
That's probably going to be patched. This is the first batch of games. Similar things happened on PS4 Pro with for instance TLOU remastered. Eventually the PS4 Pro version performed better. Also we are talking about 1-2 fps difference. Not surprised. That forest area is murderous. The 4090 goes from an easy 60 to the mid-40s there 1440p/max settings. Highly disappointed that it performs worse on the Pro than the OG console though.
Pro has way better IQ.
Oh yeah and outlaws, that game looked awful too. Pro should improve a lot of things there, image quality, RT quality in perf mode, framerate etc. Im waiting for their big november patch, probably thats the pro patch too
Do we know anything about Brasil Pixel? I thing we should take these videos with a grain of salt. That's probably going to be patched. This is the first batch of games. I hadn’t heard of them until now, but it seems like they’ve done a number of performance tests for a little while, based on their page.Do we know anything about Brasil Pixel? I thing we should take these videos with a grain of salt.
It looks good on pro.Rise of Ronin. I'd like a documentary series on how that game looks so bad, and yet struggles on new hardware. It's truly a feat.
Show me.It looks good on pro.
Isn't Alan Wake 2 already patched for the Pro?That's probably going to be patched. This is the first batch of games. Similar things happened on PS4 Pro with for instance TLOU remastered. Eventually the PS4 Pro version performed better. Also we are talking about 1-2 fps difference.
or maybe you are terribleatthisgameI really hope the Pro has an AI upscaler for shitty combat, bad "puzzles" and generally gameplay-second game design.
Lui, what "big November patch" is that ?
First time I'm hearing about it...
Cheers
Not the most impressive PRO upgrade. By the way, it appears that the base PS5 got quite a bit of performance uplift from the launch code, i wonder how it fears now against XSX. I remember Oliver from DF responding to someone posting how XSX performs better in this game by something like "this is not the current state of performance of the game." Maybe both are pretty close now.Not surprised. That forest area is murderous. The 4090 goes from an easy 60 to the mid-40s there 1440p/max settings. Yes, since October 22nd.Isn't Alan Wake 2 already patched for the Pro?
I will retort by stating that I believe Remedy to be TerribleAtTheirGame.or maybe you are terribleatthisgame

It's a grab from that video above.
I didn't know the patch wasn't out.
In that case it seems a resolution improvement due to DRS alone and it's better to wait.
There will be others patches, very likely.Isn't Alan Wake 2 already patched for the Pro?
I’m not sure about Xbox, but I know PC also got nice performance improvements over time as well. It now runs substantially better in some areas. Not the most impressive PRO upgrade.
