Nothing like poker at all. Just a basic knowledge of poker hands, pair, 3 of a kind etc is all the 2 games have in common.
The game has a list of the hands available at all times should you need it.
I can't recommend the game enough. It seems like a simple game of luck until you scratch the surface then it becomes a surprisingly deep game of strategy (and a little luck) once it clicks

For those that sub to Game Pass, might as well just play it on Game Pass. They can always buy it for 20% off with Game Pass discount if they decided to end their subscription.

Played it on Steam and got a pretty swift refund. I didn't like it at all.
Suggested it to my wife and daughter when it showed up on Apple Arcade, as they’re both more keen on card games than I am, but neither of them liked it. This game is definitely not for everyone, so at least this is another chance to try it for ‘free’.

game pass standard = install games on your xbox console
PC game pass = install games on your pc via the xbox app
game pass ultimate = install games on both your xbox console and on your pc via the xbox app and have access to xcloud streaming.

Thanks but i'm on PC which doesn't matter because Balatro isn't yet available on Game Pass App when i search it.
Its available on the Front page but it requires GP Ultimate.

the game pass app on mobile was discontinued a while ago, try searching for it directly via the xbox app on pc, or the ms store, if it's not there either then it hasn't updated yet probably.
Did you watch the video in the OP? It shows off the new Ass Creed game but only the female character.

It’s my most played mobile game at the moment. I love it. I’d rank it up there with Solitaire.
Playing hands that work with your Joker cards is key to winning. I am still trying to get better at it. I’ve won with a few decks. I’ve wanted to get to the super high levels, but I’m still working on getting better at the game. I’d say give it a couple tries. Once you pick up on the rules, you might be surprised. It took me a while to get into it. Now I love it.

They dun fucked up in the trailer (which clearly says Xbox and PC). Microsoft doesn't even have the PC version of Balatro, only the Xbox (console) version on their store. The one your seeing that requires GP Ultimate is because Ultimate gives you cloud streaming (which would technically let you play on your PC, but still the console version of the game).
Maybe they just haven't approved the PC release yet?
