Wow, Switch really dominates over there. Meanwhile the poor Xbox is still well under a million units sold.

What's up with the hardware bump this week? I guess the Genshin Impact bundle for PS5, but Switch? Power Pros or some discount?

Konami’s baseball game has fucking Goemon in it?

Lol, this franchise is 30 years old. And KDE also has a realistic baseball sim series (which is a Power Pros spin-off itself).

I was so excited when they finally released a version of Powerful Pro Baseball in the US a few years ago, but when I actually played it..... it didn't feel very good at all. I was expecting something like a NES/SNES baseball game but with cute graphics and RPG elements, but it really didn't play like that at all. Felt kind of slow and overly precise? I don't really know how to describe it. Might have to give it another go some time.

Interesting to see 2 Luigi games in the top 10. I guess there are people buying LM2 HD who enjoyed it and were yet to play the sequel.

Quite a sizable jump in HW sold this past week for all console makers. Always nice seeing that.

This week saw a hardware boost due to a national holiday, as well as the new Genshin bundle for PS5.
PS5 hardware sales to software sales performance still doesn't add up for me.
Combination of f2p, digital and lack of software with mass appeal.

Honestly I love to see it, LM2 is a good game but I really liked LM3 and would love to see it pull more sales, the game deserves it. Powerpro baseball is a hell of a seller, damn. Look at Woopah swooping in for the Famitsu data this week 😆.

The only thing that matters are the Amazon Japan pre-order/sales.

Luminoth-4545 Luminoth-4545 is on holiday this week. Normal service shall resume next week!
I never heard of this game until now. Maybe this is the reason.
The series has only ever released in Japan I believe.
Huh, I was not aware of that.
The third Monday of July is Marine Day. Maybe people wanted to play Switch on the beach.

That is actually a really good player model. Sucks that these don’t get localized. I want a goofy baseball game with Goemon.

As we can see, Konami's decision to start releasing the franchsie aross multiple ecosystems has paid off. Its a good example of a third party reacting to the success of Swtich (where the games have pretty good legs).
