Thought the specs and visual changes are worth a separate thread.

The PC version introduces new features and customizations to take full advantage of the platform:

LIGHTING - Lighting has been adjusted, and the game's overall rendering of light is significantly improved. The updated areas and cutscenes present with even greater beauty and clarity than before.

FRAMERATE AND RESOLUTION - NVIDIA DLSS support means that frame rates can be enhanced and image quality upscaled. There is now also support for variable refresh rate (VRR).

TEXTURES - The Level of Detail (LoD) for background models and MIP maps for background textures can both be freely configured in the options settings. With this background polygon density and texture density can be set higher than was previously possible, allowing for gameplay with higher-quality graphics.

They seem a bit high for what the game offers in terms of graphics. The lighting, lod, shadows and textures were not great in the console version, I am curious to see if the pc version will fix all this

Im curious, all other things being equal, is anything in Win 11 additive above 10? Or is it just on the chart for reasons?

There's a screenshot that's night and day floating around

I know it's a hot topic right now, but Square should definitely migrate to UE5 for the last game. Most of the issues with the engine were up until v 5.3, and the tech is mature enough to handle the scope of the game.

Making UE4 punch way beyond its weight truly shows.

Don't think they can justify the cost, lol.

Remake had (perhaps still has?) stutter issues regardless of shaders. This being open world in an old UE4 version, it's kinda scary.
Yeah it does. You can actually fix it though, if you set -dx11 in the properties, and then use DXVK-gplasync. There's also a config file you have to create for DXVK-gplasync, but it's super easy. After that, no stuttering at all, not even running around all the Slums and Wall Market.

Somehow though, I suspect with the DX12U requirements that this game won't have a DX11 path available so DXVK will be out of the question. :( Hopefully the improvements they've made to their streaming tech specifically for Rebirth and it's open world, can translate onto the PC version as well. I'm doubtful. :(

I just completed this on the PS5 Pro last week and regardless what I think about the actual game, are you seriously telling me the lighting will only be improved on the PC version?

Honestly, it’s so beyond bad when you go from a bright place to a dark one and vice versa it’s laughable the game even launched like that.

I can’t explain how amused I am it has steam deck support but they didn’t release on ps4. No wonder they were disappointed in their sales, they shot themselves in their fucking foot.

Steam Deck’s CPU and memory subsystem are faster than the PS4’s.

Mod Edit: Duplicate thread. Merged with the old one.

Any mentions of DLSS, FSR or XeSS?
I mean, the game running at 1152p on Performance Mode on PS5. (Wich is Graphical Quality Medium but better than 1080p) But the game is Blurry as hell.
Oh boy, I dunno why.. but reconstructing under 1080p (with DLSS / FSR) looks like is a fking mess on this game.

Its big open world and while you are basing opinion on ps5 version, it was 30fps at 4k or unstable 60 at 1080p something, so that already show sits either optimization or what they have running under hood. Also 5600 with 2070 super is lower mid-end pc tier now, so thats not that demanding. You can literary build pc like that for price of disc model ps5
