Hey Sony, I'd like to wishlist more games!

My Steam wishlist is something in the 500s and I use that during sales so I don't have to look at a bunch of trash I'll never buy. Sony has a wishlist made for ants.

I've been at the limit since it started and I generally have to remove games I want to make room for new junk. This is unacceptable. I don't want to remove Mom Hid My Game. I want it with whatever other weird game I find and out in my list. I don't even wishlist dlc I might want because the list is too small. God has a larger list of commandments on tablets than I do games I want on a digital store with practically endless amount of room to wishlist it all.

NeoGAF, make Sony fix this.

Edit: you gamers made me count. 86 is the limit for me. If someone has more, contact Sony immediately!! Tell them I want the Plus++ list.

I agree the limit is very small and fills up fast. Also you can only delete certain games on the actual ps5's wishlist and not the app which makes things even more annoying when your full up so maybe sort that out to and you can't purchase anything you've downloaded on ps plus on the app just incase you want to own it when on sale, have to switch the ps5 on to do it.

In other news... There is also a limit for the installed games on console. I bought external hd for ps4 and I was forced to buy another one to install more games. It's not a size issue but a number limit. Dunno if ps5 fixed that.
Please arrogant sony, fix this stupid issue.

I have probably 30 games in my list. It won't let me add more.

I never knew this. I have games on my PS5 console wishlist. I don't know if I've had more than 30, but it felt like it. I never check the app, and it sounds like that's independent of the console wishlist? What the fuck, Sony? What are these shenanigans?

Nope, they're in the same wishlist. Another fun thing is on the PS4, the save system has a file number limit so while you may have 15GB of free space, you'll need to delete files to make room. I have hit my limit of backup saves on the PS4 a year ago thanks to games with 100 auto saves.

They're weird sometimes.

You want to break PSN aren't you? Their backend is so fragile, that I'm sure they are fearing breath near it, not to say about trying to touch it.

I agree, happens to me because I constantly add the new PS1 and 2 releases on top of my regular stuff. And since a lot of it doesn’t go on sale, it can’t leave my wishlist.

I can understand why OP called this unacceptable

I’d love to know the thought process behind deciding that 30 was enough. Even Nintendo allows more, if I’m not mistaken

But PC wins. We all know that of course.

I don’t believe this.

I have a 1TB external SSD, a 1TB NVMe and 2TB internal storage on the pro.

I probably have 40-50 games downloaded and have never seen this message. I have around 500GB free currently and have never been told “you have too many games installed”

If this is true I imagine it affects approximately 0.1% of people who need to have things installed for OCD or something.

Edit: on topic, the wishlist thing is stupid, I think I maxed it out at 40-50 games or something. It doesn’t make sense as it’s handy when sales are on to look at just the games you want. Hope they fix this.

That's why you use gg.deals. You can wishlist games for any of the big platforms and set alerts for price reductions. And yes it shows both official resellers and grey market sites.

You never use the systems' own wishlist feature. They're always ass.

First they need to fix the whole "Games to Wishlist" section that is full of crap games.

They made a post about being able to wishlist Expedition 33, but then you had to scroll through endless shovelware to find it.

On the PS5 you can actually whishlist a lot more games than on the PS Store website

You can already whislist stuff like Indiana Jones, No Rest for the Wicked or Reanimal

I'm with you OP. Sucks having to drop things or force a purchase to make space lol, most likely why they do it.

This doesn't sound right, I've got at least 100 games on my psn wishlist via the android app.

Steam is 2121 lmao:

Maybe because I mostly buy physical copy but never wishlist any game.
I typically do this but some games I can't get, I wait for a sale. I'm cheap with digital games and feel anything over $20 is too expensive for rentals. So I need a giant wishlist. PS Prices seems legit so I might do that.

I'm hoping my Pepe bitcoin pulls through so I can make $1m and become a shareholder so I can tell them "please make bigger wishlist. Size does matter."

I don't remember, I had to check again, I will try in the weekend. 😑
I have to say that I have more than 2.500 games ps4+5, I bought a lot. 😑
It would have to be big if there is one you'd have thought. As they've not so long ago made the internal expansion 8TB M.2 compatible. I've filled a 4TB one up and not hit limits yet. But my installed library is a tincy wincy bit less than 2500 lol. Look forward to your test result!

That's crazy. It's amazing how the wishlist has become a gatekeeper for most of my gaming. It's rare to purchase a game without it. Also like adding notes when adding a game with details for why I want it or should wait.

Nintendo also makes the crazy (IMO) decision to not allow more than one game at a time in your cart. This leaves money on the table for me since if I'm buying one, will usually add some cheap ones that are one sale too.

500 games in a wish list. That's half the store.
The funny part is him using it as a negative list on steam, and wanting the same on PSN.

Just thinking about the programmer thinking that no one will ever wishlist 500 games, but then comes a user that wishlists everything he doesn't want instead.

That is false advertising, they are selling x GB space you can’t to fill

The best thing is I lost one wish list slot because the system got corrupted after buying another version of a game than the one I had in my wish list.
There is a way to delete the wishlisted game by accessing the wish list through PSN desktop browser website...
....which I finally thanks to this thread got reminded to do!

I suggest Sony gamify the wish list and lets people with more trophies getting more wish list slots... or people who spends more money gets more wish list slots! /s
