Except you didn't call anything remotely like it.omg I can't believe I fucking basically called the ending
relevance today means nothing to me.
Independence Day 2 was never going to have a deep message. It was always gonna be nonsense alien invasion disaster porn and that's honestly the entire appeal to it. Not any sort of deep resonating message.Such a deep message. The wheels on the bus go round and round just like the violent universe we live in. Welcome to earth indeed.

That's probably the metaphor they intended to make.Yeah I know, I was making a bad joke about the wheels on the bus.
A sphere who knows everything, the key to limitless power. Interstellar travel. Invading aliens. The darkness. Sooo, it's Destiny right? But with more of a story.

Okay but Will Smith ain't shit anymore.
The year before that was Men in Black 3 which did well
The third movie sounds like it's going to be exactly what I hoped it would be.
I'm only disappointed they didn't decide to rotate the holiday theme. This one should've been called Veterans Day (although then it couldn't be a summer release I guess) and then the third one could have been called Memorial Day.
In March 2013, Emmerich stated that the titles of the new films would be ID Forever Part I and ID Forever Part II. The films will take place twenty years after the original, when reinforcements of the original alien race arrive at Earth after finally receiving a distress call. The new films will focus on the next generation of heroes, including the stepson of Smith's character in the original film. In May 2013, Roland Emmerich and Dean Devlin mentioned that wormholes would be used as a plot device in ID Forever. On November 26, 2014, Deadline confirmed that Fox had greenlit the single film, and they were in talks with Emmerich to direct the film, while casting was reported to begin after Emmerich's confirmation.

FFS why are they spoiling the Queen!?
Yeah, after reading the OP I can now pick out every scene in pretty much every trailer. But the Queen should be a complete surprise.
The sphere isn't shown, though, so maybe they're banking on that being the big surprise.

Haha well story in the op certainly checks out. School bus driving under the queen in a few different shots in this trailer. Though I'm not sure how that little school bus is going to run over her head. Queen is fucking massive.
Can't wait
