Previous Blazblue for 360 sold well but looking at comgnet and amazon maybe we have another GTA for the new one.Kurosaki Ichigo said:So predicting discussion, some interesting releases again, what do you think we should go with? Inazuma 3 is a lock, then there's Taiko 3, Digimon Story and Blazblue CS PS3/360.

But it would be a lot more interesting to know how many copies are big games like Phantasy Star Portable 2 or Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker selling digitally.
I hope Konami reports this on their next fiscal report.

Generally titles need to break 500,000-1 million to be considered a success over here, but I don't know what the Japanese equivalent is. What's considered good/mediocre/bad for games that don't have DQ/FF levels of selling power?

I'll help on get rolling on percentage of used sales vs new!
duckroll said:I dunno if a % will be accurate here though. From my understanding, this tracks each time a used copy of the game is sold, but that does not rule out a store buying a used copy of the game, selling it, and eventually buying that same copy back, and selling it again, etc. There is no way to tell how many of these used game sales are from unique copies.

Compare this to the record of 21595 players at one time max during the beta; a total of(51455 players throughout the entire beta. you get a 1.6X ratio, doing fuzzy statistics that isn't at all valid and applying this to the retail version you around 82,000 Copies of MHF sold.

A copy that's already being sold for the tenth time probably is too cheap to use it as an indication for the loss of new copies being sold. When someone buys a game for half of the original price or even less, you can impossibly know whether or not the person would also have bought the game at full-price.Stumpokapow said:I'm not sure this matters, though, if one is interested in used sales to be able to determine how many "new sales didn't happen because of used copies". Like, if I buy DQ9 used, play it, trade it in, and you wander in off the street looking for DQ9 and choose a used copy over a new copy, it doesn't really matter if you choose my used copy, a used copy that's been through 10 trade cycles, or a used copy that was just traded for the first time ever; the net impact is the same.

Correct (if you mean on the tenth used sell a significant period of time has passed to where any used copy of the game would be extremely cheap). This data does give us an impression of what type of games are being sold used in high quantities though. Using reports of price drops or a price holding steady for the new copies and comparing it with that title's used sales would also be interesting.wrowa said:A copy that's already being sold for the tenth time probably is too cheap to use it as an indication for the loss of new copies being sold.
