hohoho
Dissidia doesn't look like it can run on Vita.
What do say, that if Hyrule warriors 2 is also released on 3DS you'll be right again? The original argument was if the team would dedicate resources and time (and money) to try a late port on Vita and that clearly didn't happen. DQH2 will have Vita version from the beginning meaning development will follow different path, far from the same.
Regarding SHUMPs, does anyone know why so many came to the 360 compared to the PS3?
I thought with a much bigger install base these companies would have made more money on PS3
That's what everyone said regarding Dragon Quest Heroes, and are saying regarding Disgaea 5. Just wait and see.Dissidia doesn't look like it can run on Vita.

P.S Not suggesting that Dissidia might come to PSV as it runs on UE4. It is not technically possible.
The first half of the year has always been a bit scarce; last year was no different (there were less long-sellers and bigger new releases, but not by a wide margin). Declining hw sales are inevitable, but numbers are barely dropping.
Except when everybody ruled it out they did so on the basis of SE not supporting Vita and not on the basis of it being a late port(otherwise your comment about them not bothering with Type 0 wouldn't make sense). Duckroll was the only person who mentioned them preferring to do the sequel and I never got the impression that he thought a Vita version was a possibility, he can correct me if I'm wrong.

To be fair, I think the problem is that Nippon Ichi probably couldn't get Disgaea 5 running on Vita. They could barely get Disgaea 4 running without ridiculous slowdowns.
Given what Square Enix managed on PSP, I'm sure they'd be a bit more capable of optimizing stuff. Though I don't expect Dissidia to show up on Vita at all, personally.
Its a forum. People aren't "coming out of nowhere".Oh lol we're getting peoplelike last week to say Sonydomination/beast mode/etc. Outside of Bloodborne and SAO...coming out of nowhere
Do you think that these numbers will hold and that this has nothing to do with the usual schedule before the end of the financial year?
inb4 people throw "no fun allowed" pics at me like last week as well...
Microsoft was very smart (and generous) at the start of the gen and Sony was really, really dumb so a lot of smaller games ended up being on 360 creating a few niche audiences. A super duper niche genre like shmups didn't really need a bigger install base since most shmup fans bought a 360 solely for that reason.Regarding SHUMPs, does anyone know why so many came to the 360 compared to the PS3?

15./02. [PS3] Resident Evil: Revelations 2 (Capcom) 2015/03/19 - 9.450 / 89.603 (-71%)
It actually sold 20,268!
You shouldn't assume that a game can't run on Vita because it struggles/it's not on PS3 so it should be overly downgraded, especially this soon in the gen.
Being a way more modern piece of hw has a lot of advantages and in some aspects (which are not raw power, of course) it puts it ahead. Just to make a recent example, Akiba's Trip 2 runs better on Vita than on PS3.
Konami said mgs4 can't be ported on xbox360 and after that they released Rising on xbox360 i don't see how it can run rising and not mgs4

Different engines, different assets, different file sizes, different scope? I fail to see how this comparison is reasonable.
MGS rising dosn't look technically less impresive then MGS4 i don't believe xbox360 can't run MGS4
yeah seems like they made a mistake.

Speaking of UE4, Epic Games Japan representative congratulated Mr.Saito (head of DQ10 at SE) for his promotion or something, like 2 days ago.
Epic has been pushing the UE4 engine a lot in Japan this year there were a bunch of conferences folks attended.

I see. I was just wondering whether that is related to the the job offer SE was posting regarding Dragon Quest (the one duckroll has posted a while ago).
Theatrhythm Dragon Quest is already 34% off on Amazon Japan. PS4 version of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is 52% off.

strange that 10k for SAO means decline while 3DS Q1 2015 is half of Q1 2013 and the decline is barely visible......
We knew SQEX shipped a lot for TDQ; let's see if it can have some legs.
And your point in the debate is...?
To be honest, Penny, the same question could be asked to you.
I was talking in general, "X can't run on Vita because Y".He's not talking about Disgaea 4 on PS3, he's talking about Disgaea 4 on Vita. It has bad slowdown issues. NIS is a crappy developer.
lol, are you seriously taking 10k copies as an evidence of userbase overlapping/migrating? You know, it's not like people that bought HF are held at gunpoint until they buy LS. If anything, the only thing you can get from the total sales it's that there's a somewhat decent audience for it on PS3, which is understandable considering the install base. You can find the debate and my point here.
Also, I didn't say SAO decline on PSV was huge; in fact, it wasn't; total game sales increased, but PSV version decreased in light of the PS3 release. This demonstrates userbase overlapping and, along with OPM and SK in that very week, players that are willing to migrate elsewhere; therefore, as long as PSV is going to get multi with PS3/4, it cannot be "saved" (this was answering the post as you can read in the link).

I think Nintendo can get by without those 3 million otaku. It'd be more like PSV userbase would migrate anywhere but Nintendo platform
It's not exacly a fair comparison, SV was launched with a Vita price cut during its anime while this time the PS4 version was pushed as hell treating it almost as the only version available. Basically, the two scenarios on which they launched are super skewed.No. As I wrote it's more in general terms. SK went to sell close to 100k on PSV only to sell less than 50k on PSV and 26k on PS4; OPM3 also decrease on PSV (though also on PS3), and PS4 sold not so badly.

And, well, I assume people that bought a PS4 want to start using it somehow.
As for OPM, I have the feeling that for this type of games people mostly stick to the platform where they bought the previous entries, meaning that the Vita, which missed the first game, will not gain more sales until they drop the PS3. And I think the same will happen with DQH2.
I just said why.If we're doing a comparison on the same platform, Senran Kagura almost dropped 50% with respect to the previous entry; given also the fact that this type of games is what primarily composed PSV lineup, the fact that sales are lost also in favor of PS4 is quite worrying.
And? I said that it missed the first so there won't be any big jump until/if they drop the PS3 version. (btw, if it opened at 54k then where's the drop?)Also, OPM2 was on PSV and opened at 54k.
I just said why.
And "these type of games" are what primarily composes the PS3 lineup and will primarily compose the PS4's. This maymay is getting old.
And? I said that it missed the first so there won't be any big jump until/if they drop the PS3 version. (btw, if it opened at 54k then where's the drop?)
No, I'm disagreeing on the other points you brought out.So, you're agreeing with me that as long as those games are multi with PS3/4, PSV cannot be saved, which was the original post I was replying to.
Same as the Vita, then. Also, PS3 and PS4 have SK-like games, but the top sellers are other games.
