I think that Pokemon BW2 is doing very well: it's selling better than the usual third episodes ("Gray") and I don't know if there was so much more effort in terms of cost development.
Also Super Mario 3d Land did way bettern than expected, becoming the best selling 3d Mario of all time in Japan.

Didn't with DS. Hopefully this is a sign that Nintendo is backing off from their silly "can't cut price in Japan because then they'll expect a U.S. price cut, too" position that hurt Wii a lot in Japan (as it was selling out in the U.S.).

3DS is 15000Y already and not 16999Y so it probably won't drop.

Makes sense. I was thinking it'd be dumb for Nintendo to drop the price here. Although the sales would be insane.

On the contrary it seems Pokémon Mystery Dungeon did it very poorly.
