I wouldn't say so, out of 15 titles, I wouldn't have put this in the top 6-7, so you're likely to see 4-5 titles over 100k.

It's number one by 38K but that number will drop once we get the other numbers. It should stay though since Need Speed: UND Rivals only sold 9K last month.

i didnt even know this was a launch title until i saw it in the store. :lol against PDo a traditional FPS was definately destined to flop. people want more than just shallow run and gun play.

PS2 fans are happy with the PSP numbers and have had so much fun at others expenses that the PS2 numbers don't hurt.

Xbox fans are happy with the absolutely historic SW numbers and will get even happier once the software #'s are released. Although, the Xbox is dying faster than expected.

I guess I don't have access to previous year's totals. I was more wondering if last year was a bad year propelled by two juggernauts rather than this year being exceptional. Overall, like you said, I'm very happy with the #s across the board.

It's also a four year old platform. The PS2 is actually probably the least impressive. It should be pulling higher numbers than that.

The only reason PS2 is not down big time y-o-y is because Sony had shortages last year.

What's there to be happy about US PSP numbers? OK, most people have underestimated Nov PSP sales, but those numbers are still low - especially in comparison with EU numbers. The same goes for DS.

In EU, PSP and DS are destroying GBA.
In JP, too.
In US - GBA > DS + PSP :-\

EA/Activision am cry :lol looks like next gen buyers were smart enough to not fall for their current gen+$10 BS.

I think that's MUCH more a factor of the GBA than of the PSP/DS in the US.

The GBA has 50% of it's WW sales in the US and has always been it's strongest region.

Great DS and GBA sales. The GBA numbers are mind-boggling, too. I thought for sure that it wouldn't sell that much, since the DS would eat off a ton.

Xbox hardware is disappointing to say the least. MS really dropped the ball with the shortages.

thats consumers being smart and not buying shitty rushjob ports. the best selling games will be the ones that pushed the hardware most. why the hell would anyone buy the games that looked like wat was already out for the last gen of systems?

Does anyone know why the US hasn't embraced the DS and PSP this year like the other regions have?

I find it weird that Europe is about to surpass the installed base for both these handhelds in the US and it was released later, especially for the PSP.

Why haven't people made the switch from GBA to the new handhelds?

You're referring to the hardware right? Because by all accounts the 360 software sales are pretty amazing considering the low hardware numbers. The fact that almost 1/5 people bought Quake IV is astounding to me. 56/332 ~ 17%
