FIFA 14 got quite the World Cup boost, it seems. It was ranked #5 on June 2014's NPD charts, and then it held out stronger than Watch_Dogs and Mario Kart 8, which both dropped below it.

Nice month without surprises.
Microsoft is ecen more vague than usual though.
I still don't get why/how that many people are willing to pay more than 30$ for a one year old remaster though.

Thank you.

So... who's gonna have the balls to make a leak site and pm everyone the address? ;p

You mean like that site that popped up last month?

Dunno man, hopefully they pull through again...after the usual suspects have some fun being mathematicians with early numbers of course ;)

Damn, TLOU did quite well for itself for being on sale for five days. Granted, it was the only major new release this month, but still.

Why are you reading my tag instead of the title of my post?
December 2013 by about 50k during heavy PS4 shortages
I wonder if it keeps the Sony PR person up at night that they can never use the "PS4 has been leading since launch" line. I know I'd be bother to hell about it. Maybe when he walks into his office, he has a torn out calendar page of December 2013, a reminder of what could have been.
Primary reason software is down yoy is because EA stopped making NCAA games.
Oh yeah. That too. Wonder where NCAA would have placed.

The July NPD press release on August 14th refers to the June doubling of sales?
What else they got? And the doubling wasn't all that impressive because May's numbers were so bad. There really is nothing good in XB1's July numbers so they have to manufacture something, anything, in order to have a positive press release.

I wanted to dominate the living room. Then I took an ESRAM in the knee.

Fans love the game, and a lot of PS4 owners did not own a PS3, so for them it's practically a new game, and a damn good one as well.

Because it's an awesome game and it looks and runs great at 1080p 60fps, I think a lot of us who have the PS3 version double-dipped as well.

I imagine Sony wasn't lying about there being a lot of new-to-Playstation owners right now on the PS4, and TLOU is certainly one of the buzziest games in recent memory.

TLOU is a system seller. Saw someone with the PS4 bundle earlier today, seems like it sells like hot cakes. Say what you want about remasters, but they're here to stay and more to come 100% guaranteed with the success of TLOU Remastered.

After that leak last month, I wouldn't expect any outright and direct leaks. Perhaps our sources here can point in the right direction, but that's all I think we're gonna get.

NPD Ninjas are watching.

Technically they can actually say that xD. They've had the larger WW LTD since 2013.

Yeah, it's just as fun either way. Actually it's more fun having the guessing game and then getting in the hard figures once that's done. I can't remember if last NPD had any major meltdowns tho.
I hope this one does.

MS's best chance at taking #1 is in November. If they can't win that month with FOUR Halo games for the price of one that also comes with Halo 5 beta, the race may be pretty much over.

wait, what?

didn't it do like 140k in June? that was the bump

I must be missing a joke or something haha
Eh, you might be right, it all blurs into one. I thought for some reason there was an expectation that sales would be notably affected again this month.

My bad, must've been thinking of MC or something.

I'd put LOU in my top 5 games of all time and it's my GOTY right now. And the remaster is more than just a facelift. The 60fps upgrade is a legitimate difference in gameplay in single and multiplayer.
