good thing he's an actor thenhe looks like a really nice person. Not the terribly jaded and sad person snape is.
I think it's time we had white guys playing Blade and Miles Morales. The Hannibal TV series race and gender swapped a ton of characters, and it was still a masterpiece. Laurence Fishburne as Jack Crawford and Lara Chorostecki as Freddie Lounds.
Shit doesn't mean anything, as long as the actors are good.
That means he’s currently three years older than Snape in the first book. A lot of the characters from Harry’s parents generation are much younger than they feel. He's only 34 years old, seems way too young to be Snape.

Finance it then if you think it's time.I think it's time we had white guys playing Blade and Miles Morales.
What? You just said "Shit doesn't mean anything, as long as the actors are good" and now I should finance something?Finance it then if you think it's time.

Exactly, you said it was time for a white Blade and Miles Morales, so go finance it and make it happen. I'll watch it with an open mind as long as the actors are good. What? You just said "Shit doesn't mean anything, as long as the actors are good" and now I should finance something?![]()
No offense but nobody gives a fuck about jack crowford compared to freakin snape. The Hannibal TV series race and gender swapped a ton of characters, and it was still a masterpiece. Laurence Fishburne as Jack Crawford and Lara Chorostecki as Freddie Lounds.

No offense, but nobody cares about what race Snape is other than unhinged adults obsessed with a series of children's books. No offense but nobody gives a fuck about jack crowford compared to freakin snape.
Then better get out of this topic because 99% of people in here care about this shit, better not catch our same illness. No offense, but nobody cares about what race Snape is other than unhinged adults obsessed with a series of children's books.
Ehhhh, I suspect a couple million kids who have only ever watched the films and read the books will be a bit baffled about who that guy that kinda acts like Snape is. Though I expect a rainbow casting for this so they are going to be leaning HARD on making sure every actor has a 5 minute "this is who I am even though I look nothing like the film/book interpretation" scene. When petite and thin Elliot Page kicks down the Dursley's door and announces that he is, in fact, Ruebeus Hagrid, there will need to be a quick montage of him doing everything "Hagrid-like" to sell it.No offense, but nobody cares about what race Snape is other than unhinged adults obsessed with a series of children's books.
Hopefully they are gonna be more faithfull than the movies that kinda go their way from book 3.Is this series just basically rehashing the books again or are these new people?
Page as hagrid is a stroke of genius.Ehhhh, I suspect a couple million kids who have only ever watched the films and read the books will be a bit baffled about who that guy that kinda acts like Snape is. Or are you expecting someone else to finance your vision?
To the points you added, shows and movies employ tools, such as costumes, makeup, practical effects, and CGI, to make the actors and sets look the way they want on film.Btw i added stuff to my post to explain better my point of view, but from your response i can tell that i'm probably just wasting my time.
Rickman was white and kinda pale and kinda old and average looking at best, they didn't had to use heavy make up on him other than a wig, why the fuck picking an handsome and young actor just to make him ugly and older with makeup instead of picking someone more naturally similar to book snape? To the points you added, shows and movies employ tools, such as costumes, makeup, practical effects, and CGI, to make the actors and sets look the way they want on film.
Did they film Alan Rickman looking like this as Snape?

No? Then why do you think they're going to film the dude they got now without any sort of effects or makeup to make him look like Snape?
