Finally getting around to giving this one an actual shot. I'm having an easier time with the Mercenary than with the melee characters I also tried, but every encounter still feels like a fight for my life lol.

Can I be added to the guild? MastAndoMerc

I'm still wearing the unique chest piece I borrowed the other day, it breaks my build atm if i take it off. I'll return it soon promise :)

Loot seems significantly more plentiful since the hotfix. Good stuff. Be nice if I could carry a bit more or if they sold back packs or something.

Still loving the game. Very excited to see where this ends up for the 1.0 release. Anyone who hold off until then will be in for a treat for what surely will be a GOTY contender. For me I enjoy seeing games like this evolve over time.

Just as a quick PSA:
I was linking my other accounts last night and thought* I lost my characters, but I just have duplicate accounts.

If you are in the same boat as me you can switch between all of your POE accounts after you log into the game:
This shows my PSN, Xbox, and PoE accounts.

Progress - all that testing has my build looking like this -

Gemling Mercenary

Run around clearing trash mobs by shooting gas grenades everywhere. The gas grenades break armor with the Corrosion support skill, and blow up enemies with the Armour Explosion support skill.

I also throw in some Flash grenades and Explosive grenades to taste. I just run through the clouds of poison while everything dies around me.

I recently found a good 2 hand mace, so I did my best to utilize the weapon set system. I used my crossbow weapon set to path to the crossbow passives, and used the mace weapon set to get the 2-hand mace passives.

I only use the 2-hand mace for one thing - burst DPS on bosses with Sunder. At a boss, I flash grenade, which stuns the boss, then use seismic cry, then sunder, and that takes off quite a bit of health.

Got Act 2 boss done today, too. Wasn't sure if it was going to happen it was messy, kept dying really early. Once I got it to the next phase it was fine. Went back and finished ascension thing earlier as well, such a breeze with more levels than scraping through with little honour and less hope. Picked stormcaller because the time stuff seemed too situational. Got 2 more of those sigils to run it so try a few more runs in the morning.

Is having +28 increased rarity items worth it early game or should I just be using power leveling gear? Sometimes I find myself holding onto older gear because it has magic find.
Seems the game is dropping more stuff of better quality now. I stopped holding on to it, stashed a few pieces and went with the better gear and it feels like I'm getting way better stuff now without it thanks to whatever they did under the hood.

Holy shit! The pain GGG puts you through to power up a Monk. Barely got into Charged Staff skill last night and the entire paradigm changed. Act 2 became trivial. Blowing through Act 3 and all because I got access to a single skill. Whoo boy.

I did get this after all to see for myself, after not getting hyped but seeing that there is an actual local coop on PC that I am still mad at D4 for only having it for console versions.. Also the post that this being kinda mix of Diablo and soulike

So 2 questions:
Is this kind of seriously laggy at the moment or is it me?
Am I getting this right, you make you characters and play them kinda forever? No seasons really or just rarely?

No lag after EA servers came online. The occasional server offline when they hotfix but that's it.

Seasons are called Leagues and will be in the live release of the game.

Wow nice job on filling up the stash library with great items! Now the next goal will be to organize it bit so that the weaker items are removed, and that all the weapons and armor have at least some representation

I'm 50 monk almost end of act 1 cruel. monk is insane fun, and glad to have really made the build, optimal atleast to me. Was fun going in blind and not following a guide or some shit.

Btw, some rando boss in Act 3 Blackjaw can eat a bag of dicks.

His moveset is designed to screw with the players dodge roll instincts.

3 combo attack, you can't dodge the third. It's timed to hit you exactly when you are coming out of the second roll. It one shots you and blows.

According to the net, the trick is to dodge the first, do nothing for the second, dodge the third.

Still haven't tried it yet.

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
You can do the trials in act 2. They are hard though. I’m having a tough time at a lvl 28monk. They need to explain how to do them more because I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing and what things do.
It's hard to do specially with melee classes, since you are more prone to losing honor (every time to lose health) than ranged classes.

The mechanics aren't that complicated tho. During the run you get keys which you use at the end to open chests for loot, and water which can be used to heal your honor or to get more keys at the end. The trials themselves are either about killing stuff or racing against time having to find some light pillars.

For me the hardest part is the boss. Lots of aoe than can easily take down your honor and make you lose.

What i don’t get are the relics you get that can add bonus. Says to use them at the start of trials but I can only use the one the lady give me. The medallion looking one.

I was playing around with the reforging station - it lets you take 3 types of an item of the same type and rarity and them smashes them together to give you a new item of that same type with rerolled stats.

I had 2 rare xbows with shit mods, I found a normal one, turned the normal one into a magic one with my orbs, then smashed all three together to get a new crossbow. It didn't have the best mods either, but that's pretty cool. I'll have remember to not sell stuff that I can potentially use to reforge.

As a PoE noob, what's the etiquette with the guild stash? I don't want to take advantage of the generosity of others, but it was hard to resist not nabbing some early rare gear that improved my build tenfold immediately. I plan to return the items when I've outgrown them and have been putting similar items in there as a replacement as I find them along the way. I just want to be sure I'm not setting off any alarms lol.

Decided to jump into early access and not wait for until f2p. Great first impressions overall. The game can still sometimes pause for a milisecond even after changing servers from auto, but this game is what I wanted D4 to be.

After the medallion it opens a new window where you can put like 3 relics at first (you unlock more space by redoing the trial).
And you can upgrade relics with orb of transmutation.

Yes, that is perfectly fine! Everyone is free to help themselves to anything in the library. Just return it after use, and upgrade along the way.

With so much stuff in our stash now, I feel like new players don't even have to rely on drops anymore. Just use the stuff in our guild stash.
