So just a stupid thought that came to mind. If DS continues on at ~150K a week and PSP's numbers continue to grow by about 7K a week, PSP will pass DS in weekly numbers the week of November 13, at which point the LTDs will be 12.4M DS, 5.4M PSP. If the PSP keeps accelerating like this, it will overtake DS's LTD the week of September 17, 2007, 19.1M to 19.0M.

That's a nice analysis Joshua, but you're assuming PSP will grow to over 70,000 per week (actually 60k per week is high enough) which just won't happen.

A cool thought though. Exponential growth functions?

Wow, I said wow. Very Strong sales for PSP. Every week it sells more than previous weeks, good for Sony.
DSL sales are beyond impressive and NSMB still selling 100k is awesome. I'm sure if Nintendo can ship 250k DSL weekly, NSMB sales won't drop below 100k anytime soon.
Mario Basket can sell 400k easily and Tamagotchi 2 will become another DS million seller at the end.
