The game supposedly sold even worse than this year's other big flop, Star Wars Outlaws. And here, just to be clear, I'm not going into the merits of whether the game is bad or not, but the fact is that it didn't sell as much as Ubisoft had hoped, so it's a flop. That said, let's get on with the news.

ENDYMIONtv explains the supposedly terrible sales of Dragon Age: The Veilguard in a new video. His source said that the RPG seems to have sold around 500,000 copies, half the amount of Star Wars Outlaws.

500k is too low based on the data we have right now, it has nearly the same placement as Outlaws on Playstation store US, UK, FR, and DE but PC performance is much stronger thanks to Steam.

1.5m should be the logical estimate launch numbers for Veilguard, a little bit better than Outlaws but whether it will suffer the same fate as Outlaws or not we need to wait a couple of weeks more to see the results.

LOL if true. It sounds like a polished turd. Runs well, lack of bugs, cool environments, some love the combat. But every day I see more and more stuff in the game that completely goes against the lore and common sense. An RPG free RPG. It just makes BG3 look better and I am thinking of playing DA: Origins and 2 again (I actually liked 2, which now looks even better by comparison.)

Not surprised it's a flop since the CCP count sucks for a game like this when it should be getting around several hundred CCPS. I do think it sold a lot more than 500k, like around 1.5 to 2 million which would still be a flop for this kind of big budget western fantasy game. Either way glad it flopped or at least didn't do well. Games pushing mental illness and insanity deserves to flop just like so many of them in this year.

Not sure I believe the numbers. Steam saw almost 90K CCUs. Normally that’s 8-10x sales in the first week or two for a SP game.

So it probably sold anywhere from 700K to 900K on Steam. Maybe more now.

Throw in EA PC subs, Epic (barely anything) and mainly console players. You figure at least 50-60% of players are going to be there despite it being a more PC centric title.

So I would say overall sales are likely to be between 1.5 and 2 million. Now, this is all a guesstimate obviously but I find it more likely vs under 1mil Outlaws sold.

Edit: The game still sucks. And it must still be deeply in red, but let’s not get crazy here, lol.

Yeah. But the reason channels like his exist is because none of the mainstream gaming sites have the balls to criticize all the wokeness and retarded writing. The closest thing we got was Dualshockers review which said it “got a bit of the Sweet Baby treatment”, which they later edited out of the review. Yeah as much as that would be nice to see a disgusting game like this flop this hard. I'm 100% sure it sold more than that which still isn't a good look for them of course.

It's likely way too low. It charted at #8 in the US/CA on PSN and was just outside the top 10 at #11 in the EU ... and that's just launch day sales.
