What are your thoughts?

Very hot, but I preferred her in A View to a Kill.

So stonecold and cool. I think she's still the Bond girl who had the best style.

She'd definitely know how to pick me up after a rough day:

As I said, the Angela model looks feminine to me in the final game, but still needs some tweaking because her face does not match her slender body.

In that infamous trailer however her model looked more like a male for sure. As a photographer I can understand what this character artist said about skull differences, and he is 100% correct about that. Bloober deliberately wanted to make a masculine looking Angela and if not for the bad reception they would have kept this design.

Female skeleton has a square jaw. You don’t fool me. That’s a trans skeleton, dude.

Are we talking about angela?

I think she looked fine until this particular moment where the voice acting\facial acting is absolutely fucking hilarious (bad)

Before that she was...fine, and i heard her voice acting is one of the highlights, so she is probably much better in the other cutscenes.

Why didn't you NSFW mark that video, dude!

I've heard about ugly-crying, but I never took it literally. I'm going to have to increase my xanax dose tonight to be able to sleep. :lollipop_sad_relieved:

Ok, back on topic.

So much hate and negativity, and not just towards the game, but towards people who like the remake.

I played the original SH2 on the PS2 and PC with mods, but I still prefer the remake because the advancement is graphics made the game much more immersive. Even the story is more impactful because the acting is much more realistic now (especially Eddie, just one look at him and you know he's a killer).

I think some people have a nostalgic view of the original game rather than an objective one.

She looks like a woman, she sounds like a woman. Out of all the absurd opinions I've read about the game, I've never seen anyone say they "don't know she's a woman", lol.

I didn't bother watching his video, because the thumbnail alone shows me his tune. Hell, looking at the thumbnails of his other videos drove it even further.

It's ridiculous. Especially when there are legitimate great games, but people refuse to play them because of whatever "agenda" they believe in. Even more so when they go all over forums and socials trying to sling mud or whatever. It just feels like they're throwing temper tantrums.

I'm tired of people being so upset or offended about XYZ. It's gotten to the point where people just look for problems that don't even exist. I just wanna play good/great games man, lmao.
No joke, one poster in another thread was implying that Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart was pushing some political agenda and I legitimately was like "WTF"???? It's like people are forcing some conspiracy on themselves.

The game got glowing reviews, it seems to be selling well and most people seem to love it.

I haven't (and won't) watch the video.

If it's a negative review from some one who actually didnt like it or if they're a grifter trying to get views....it means next to nothing at this point.

Dude isn't wrong tbh. This board will call out DEI games but the second a remake is announced everyone is on their knees in worship.
Because according to those same people, they simply wanted good video games to be good again…or has the goal been shifted 100m away?

I sure would love for a forum full of gamers to suddenly say that ‘this is more than just about video games’.

take a breath, take a seat...

Uncle stuey duck is gonna pass some wisdom.

game reviews are meaningless 🤷‍♂️.

Watch some gameplay on a game if you aren't already sold or turned off yet and then that should finalise the decision.

games don't do anything new or bring anything new to the table anymore, it's not difficult to see a game in action and know exactly how its going to play, the only important aspect these days is performance.

That guy bitches about everything. He's insufferable.
The sad thing is that he used to be a much better reviewer just a few years ago. The way he broke down game reviews, especially his review on Elden Ring was quite masterful and engaging. He also used to recommend really good obscure games with good description.

However, once he grabbed ahold of the culture war audience, he never let go, and he has been inserting it into every single review however he can. The thing I always found funny is that he made a video blatantly admitting to his audience that he would keep inserting culture war stuff into his videos because it gets the clicks, and in that same video he said he would do less obscure game references.

I was sad to see the change and descent into the grift.

I found him years back when he reviewed the new God of War games and I found a lot of his critiques refreshing when everyone was just blindly gushing about them.

There was a definite turning point in his content where he went from an ordinary reviewer to endless bitching. I get negativity makes money on YouTube, but he went too far with it so I unsubscribed.

What are you seeing, though? 2 of those videos are game praises and the Borderlands movie IS terrible. :pie_diana:

Looks like he has a more wide range of opinions than just bitching about everything.

Are you taking the piss? Even what he's "praising" is laced with negativity and xenophobia. It doesn't come across as sincere.
You must have broad definition of Xenophobia because I'm not seeing it in those videos. And mocking the Chinese social credit score system is a knock on the government and not it's people IMO.

I've seen a few folks who don't like the game and put up reviews, that love the original more, mention two things that as someone who never played the OG, would bother me.

-Apparently the original is 6 hours long? This is 13+ first time through. So is the bloat a real thing? I would think so. As a new player you won't think so because there's no point of reference.
-Combat is mid. So is the OG, but they could've done more. No lie.

Still a 11/10 for me. :)

If that's the case/intention, then what exactly has that got to do with the game or the people who made the game? Why bring it up at all? Why make it the thumbnail of your video if your purpose is to highlight the good work that's been done?

It's not a "broad definition of xenophobia", it's seeing things for what they are.

It's a Chinese dev so the Chinese Gov is involved with what they can and can't have in their game.

And what aspects of the game do you think we're compromised or changed as a result of "Chinese government involvement"? Unless you think that a retelling of a 16th century Chinese novel amounts to Chinese propaganda?

You're sitting there defending something which is being spelt out to you. How much clearer than the thumbnail and "good for a Chinese game" does it need to get?

I can't look into the devs minds and see if they were made to change anything, they did tell early previewers/reviews about things(politics, COVID-19, etc) not to bring up.

You're sitting here attacking him over a thumbnail while the video doesn't even bring up the Chinese much. How many AAA Chinese games have been hits so far in the west? It's refreshing to get one with this much production values that's no where near bad in its genre. That's how I'm reading it.

You clearly haven't played it. It's a retelling of journey to the west, nothing more, nothing less. They explicitly told western reviewers/journalists to simply review the game and not bring up any irrelevant political commentary. The focus of the reviews should be the game, not the political landscape of the country it was made in.

Why is that too much to ask? Is that not the very same thing that we ask of journalists when reviewing games?

You're sitting here attacking him over a thumbnail while the video doesn't even bring up the Chinese much.

What? The thumbnail brings in to focus the Chinese credit score system which has nothing to do with the game. He talks about the hype being fake and manufactured by China etc.

Where the game is from shouldn't matter and shouldn't be the focus of any discussion surrounding the game (yet here, it's made to be the focus, right from the title and the thumbnail). The only thing that matters is it's quality.
