Looks cool. Never played the first one, but this kinda reminds me of BG3 when it comes to production values.

Does it have it's own set of rules? I prefer those to some tabletop adaptation.

The first one is the most authentic CRPG to D&D ruleset.

Using DND 5E like BG3. Of course there will be subtle differences in translating the ruleset to a videogame but you should feel right at home.

First game laid a decent enough framework, what the sequel really needs are good scenarios/writers and cool written companions.

Never even heard of this game. Looks like this one is a nice step up visually from the first.

This turned out to be one of my favorite games when release. The custom campaigns and unfished business addon really added a lot of replay value! I can't wait!
