Thats some weak ass info. Min for what target? What resolution? Recommended for what? RT? 30 FPS?
Yeah this is how they used to present it. Fucking useless without target resolution and frame rates.

Ah wait, this isnt official information its just off the steam page.

Those are indeed surprisingly low for a game such as this. Didn’t look bad whatsoever on the gameplay showcases.
Hoping this means that it’s optimised very well.

I’m quite excited for this game and hope it’ll do well. I can still enjoy the previous game, especially in combination with some mods like Anomaly.

From what they devs were saying about porting to Series S I think it is just very well optimized.

I think these are old (and maybe not accurate anymore)?

This is from august 2, 2023 and lists the same specs.

I cry about Xbox and hate PlayStation.
UE5? something is not right here.

Stutterfest incoming for PC?

Stalker's 2 graphics also look surpirsingly bad for a UE5 game:

As for why the specs are so low, it's probably because the developers are Ukrainians, and Ukrainians generally are not that wealthy and generally have pretty bad PCs, and the developers care about their people being able to play their game.

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
A 1080? Wasn't expecting that, hopefully it means the game is properly optimized.

Knowing the devs tho, I'm more worried about bugs. STALKER was a nightmare to play on release.

In fact, these are not from 2023. They are from 2021. It's quite funny how this article was spammed everywhere, making people believe they are new PC specs when they are from 2021. And then people will complain that the game will run worse than these PC specs (which is understandable as those PC specs are completely out of date, and you should not pay any attention to them).

This game is going to give PCs a good thrashing and there will be lot of crying just like what' going on in the Wilds Beta.

Even worse then. I imagine people with a 1060 won't have a good time.

Stalker never has been a graphics machine IP, it's like Fromsoftware games.

So no surprised those are the minimum spects.

I don't mean to be rude, but why is this a surprise?

All Xbox games have to run on the series s which is greatly underpowered. Even if that mandate has changed, when this game was being made that was the requirement.

Cores, shaders and BIOS oh my!
580 which is rebranded 480 which was less than 50% faster than a 280 which was a rebranded 7950 from 2012? Dang that's a low end GPU. Hope it runs good on my aged (no longer just aging) PC.

It better be good.

Just don't go in expecting S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Anomaly. Or Shadow of Chernobyl.

From all i've seen, i would expected a mishmash of M.E.T.R.O.: Exodus (including the bad voice acting) with some bits and pieces of Call of Pripyat, wrapped in a very, very gamified package. It'll be a fun shooter, that i don't doubt, but it will not be a horror - survival shooter like the original.

Maybe it'll shine with a community if its easily moddable, but i think it'll just come and go as a 7.5/10 shooter. It doesn't have a lasting, memorable hook, as far as i can see. The fresh coat of paint on the Zone is nice, but i can just play S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Anomaly for that. Which .. they should have took more inspiration from, tbh.

Aye. I've got a feeling it'll be console'ish too.

But, the open world sounds large enough. I doubt it's ever going to beat Misery in the terms of the gritty Stalker game play I want.. but I'm still eager to find out

..And CD keys dont do refunds if its really bad

Looks like I'll find out either way :messenger_tears_of_joy:
