The Japanese outlet Game Spark recently spoke to developer Nihon Falcom about the upcoming Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter remake.

In this brief exchange, Falcom confirmed that the PC port of this title will be developed in-house. This means that, at least for how matters currently stand, the port won’t be contracted to an outside company or team, such as Durante, who has worked on several high-quality Falcom PC ports.

Note that the lack of involvement of Durante and his team at PH3 could alter in the future.

This news also marks Falcom’s return to in-house PC development, which has not been wholly embraced since roughly around the 2008 release of Zwei: The Ilvard Insurrection.

That's a shame, PH3 ports are among the best by far.

Not very confident in Falcom being able to deliver a high quality PC port, but let's hope for the best.

I expect a gimped pc port then like the CLE ports that are missing 3/4 of the graphics options compared to PH3.
