I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
Never heard about that project, might give it a go once I'm done with Amid Evil.

Also can't believe that as a kid I went and played the turd that is Unreal II but not the first game. Man can I be dumb some times.

Both great games. Unreal is still very enjoyable. Unreal Tournament is still a masterpiece. It's not as good as 2k4, but it's remarkable how well the game has aged.
It's still surprising that. they haven't GasSed that up and re released it.

Is it easy to host and play together? Of am I looking at figuring out IP addresses and port forwarding stuff like the olds days?

Would be dope to play this with a friend.

Epic are a joke. They want people to use their store, yet won't put the effort in. They have all the money in the world to make games they could put exclusives on their store only and they give up making unreal tournament.

I would happily buy a new UT game even if it was exclusive to their store.

So many wonderful memories playing Unreal Tournament over dial-up as a kid (later in high school as in-class LAN matches against the teacher/other students).

Was going to download this but forgot I own the UT collection on Steam lol. Shame they got removed by Timmy.

Did a recent playthrough of original Unreal - it's aged amazingly well. Incredible music and atmosphere.
Installing the high definition texture pack is recommended.

Well, I apreciate that. I was very disappointed when Epic deslisted them.

Both are spectacular FPS games even today.

UT99 was great, and my first real online love, but UT2K4 improved upon it in every way, and has my title for best game ever.

I played it solidly pretty much until the UT4 pre-alpha was released.

Such good memories.

Still won't give EPIC a dime and bleed them anytime a free game is available simply because they took UT off store fronts and cancelled the new UT project. UT is really what solidified me as a PC gamer and I still play it every year.

Cores, shaders and BIOS oh my!
It just fetches the iso from archive.org during the install process, which you could already do manually instead. You can do that with this too, if you copy the isos elsewhere after the download/during the setup and before the installer deletes it. Good that they got permission for that though. Dunno about the quality of the patching, I tried it and there seems to be some stuttering on new asset/whatever appearance/loading. Idk if it's any different if you just run it vanilla with or without dgVoodoo or something along those lines but maybe they've done other work in enabling the various glide/gl/dx/whatever exclusive rendering effects to work under more apis making it more user friendly or something, I dunno. I imagine the conversion to UE5 by that one dude bringing Deus Ex to that engine (and in VR too) might work out better in the long run, we'll see when that's done.

Unreal Tournament still has the best weapons and maps of any FPS. Absolutely classic game and design. Flak Cannon. Rocket Launcher. Ripper. Deck 16 II. Just so much fun.

ASMD is maybe the best weapon in the entire history of video games... certainly FPS games. Incredible piece of design.

Flak, goo, minigun, plasma, rox... all so fun. Fantastic variety.

Lol rippers get chaotic as fuck in UT when you spam a ton of shots down a tight hallway. Don't forget the shock rifle, God that weapon is so fucking cool, and shock comboing is so damn gratifying. Many hours of my life were spent playing on Facing Worlds, which is still one of the best CTF maps out there. And to top it all off, the soundtrack for UT (this definitely includes UT2K4) is fucking awesome, I can still hear the tunes to some of those maps playing in my head while thinking about them.

I had it on an old PowerMac G3 with a Voodoo 3GPU that I installed myself (rare on the Mac in those days) and played over a 56k modem so my landline was permanently engaged. Prehistoric now but man those were good times.

I played a bit when I was a kid, and now I had my first real match. I used the OldUnreal installer. Just change the resolution(and changed my network from lan to dsl, idk if its necessary) and play, its that simple. I'm trying to figure out how people can fly. Its fast and fun. Good job Tim and OldUnreal!

Facing Worlds (music played is Forgone Destruction) and The Peak Monastery (music played is Razorback) are just fucking amazing. It saddens me that the community run remake died and Epic just let it. I wanna play some tonight, who's in?

Anyone care about Unreal Gold in this pack ? The UI is tiny at 4k and there's no way to scale it it seems (there is a font scale option for double but it only affects the startup menu, not ingame UI)
