What's your opinion on being stuck in games?

When I get really stuck on a video game, I usually either stop playing or I look up a guide. 🤷

I think being stuck has many ways I can look at it. I play a lot of adventure games and usually what happens for me is I will get so immersed in a game world that I might just forget what I am doing and venture off to do different parts of the game. Usually after I am exhausted and can't figure out where to go. I'll save and come back to it later. Now the later part is the most fun because I'll load it back up and then go what was I doing again. Once I get passed that; I shrug it off and get lost in the world again. It makes me feel like a traveler on an open road and then when I eventually get to the point that progresses the game I find strangely satisfying. Getting stuck adds to my immersion. And then some games such as puzzle games. I have worked my brain enough that if I make mistakes or get frustrated I just save and come back to it another time. Getting stuck can be an interesting experience and the games that I have played where my mindset is in a good head space for immersion have added benefits of me getting stuck. Here is a good one. I have been replaying Final Fantasy 7 recently and after Midgar and getting that big open map I saved and did not open it for a few weeks. I came back to find that me adventuring around lead to a pleasant and fun sense of discovery that I would never get from grinding and playing that game consistently. This may just depend on the player though. Or I don't know. The way I look at it.
