Xenosaga was a masterpiece, didn't like 2 so much and haven't played part 3 but heard from most that it's the best one out of the trilogy. Star Ocean 3 Till the End of Time was absolutely amazing and in many ways I liked it even more than X. But not a fan of the twists too much. Still the pros for it overwhelms the cons and I had so much fun with the whole cast and setting. This was definitely one of my favorites and most fun JRPG on that console for me. Main endgame team was Maria, Fayt, and Nel.

Xenosaga was a masterpiece, didn't like 2 so much and haven't played part 3 but heard from most that it's the best one.

I love all three games especially the middle chapter, that battle system was fantastic but I understand why it was decisive. The third game was a good wrap up to a great story. It's too bad those games didn't sell enough to warrant a full Six Game Saga. It would have been interesting to see the whole story across six games

Star Ocean 3 Till the End of Time was absolutely amazing and in many ways I liked it even more than X. But not a fan of the twists too much. I'm hoping for a multiplatform remaster. I LOVE this game especially the battle system. Loved the Item Creation in this one too. I don't play Star Ocean for the story and cast, I play it so I can bend it over like the little bitch she is

OP, do you play any franchises other that GTA and Resident Evil?

Yeah my choices are definitely pretty generic and easy lol. Without counting RE and GTA, some of the ones I also really like on the PS2 have been the Ratchet and Clank series from Going Commando to Deadlocked. Didn't like the first one too much. Also liked Silent Hill 3, Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3, Xenosaga, Half Life , Star Ocean 3 on the PS2 a lot. The less popular ones that I thought was alright from it was Oni and Extermination. Also thought Shining Tears a unpopular JRPG was ok for it.

Playstation 3 got Resistance 1 and 2, Prototype, Metal Gear Solid 4, RE5, and a few others. I would have included Fallout 3 and Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion on my top 3 but I liked the PC versions of them so much more due to modding so didn't include those.

Playstation 5 - there's Stellar Blade and Rebirth which I also really liked a lot for the PS5.

Metal Gear Rising should have gotten a sequel long ago, it was such a badass game and one of the coolest final boss of all times!

I never played Timesplitters 2, only played Timesplitters 3 Future Perfect on the XBOX and it was a perfect game. Great campaign and with amazing addicting multiplayer with bots/friends, and my cousin for splitscreen. Some of the best after school splitscreen matches ever during my early years rivaling that of Halo 2 during that time.

I never played Timesplitters 2, only played Timesplitters 3 Future Perfect on the XBOX and it was a perfect game. Think I played all of them and same! The story was campy and fun. The levels really unique with different time eras and with relative enemies and weapons for each level.

Can't remember which one as well but there was a goldfish robot character that was banned in MP between friends (like Oddjob in Goldeneye) because he was too darn small to shoot lol. Really liked it had Co-op as well as your standard deathmatch. Such good games solo as well as with others. Definately the golden age of local gaming with spitscreen, with Halo 1+2 too!

PSX:
One of easily the best consoles of all time, huge expansion in gaming. This is Squaresoft, for me, I would love to include a bunch of the great adventure or horror games but I can't. Also want to include SOTN, FF9, and Xenogears... but I just can't.

And I really fell in love with 3D fighters with Tekken 3. Still my favorite fighting series (and probably game) of all time.

Again more defined by what I cannot include due to my own personal tastes... but definitely for me was the real jumping off point for the best of the epic, cinematic, sometimes open world action/adventure genre. I'd also like to include some of the more esoteric/art-house games... but I can't.

And Tekken love/obsession continues.

Late to this console, due to jumping all in on X360 for several years. Really just an expansion of my tastes into big, cinematic, awesome adventure games.

Uncharted 2 and Arkham Asylum just miss out, because I feel that I have to acknowledge FPS games here due to the way the genre really stepped up in this period. and that choice for me is between Bioshock & Modern Warfare. And here my love of a fantasy story forces my hand.

Again, more big adventure, big story, big combat in some cases... just further refined, expanded, and often including more engaging RPG elements.

Lots of honorable mentions here Just count them! Cyberpunk 2077, Red Dead Redemption 2, Spider-Man, Alien: Isolation, GTA5, MGS5, Uncharted 4... these are ALL pretty worthy of being considered. Didn't even play Bloodbourne at the time... holy shit what a fucking console this was. Honestly and easily one of my very favorite consoles ever, right up alongside PSX & SNES.
