Just like HSR, already dropped $200 on the game. Hopefully this one sticks. :messenger_grinning_sweat::messenger_tears_of_joy:

I got baited. Fuck Sony. Their store only had monochrome which I bought a bunch of before playing, but it's a currency that the game shits out anyways.

So I had to spend more buying the actual summon currency.

Then I had to buy all the beginner packs and capped promotions.

Then I had to buy the upgraded Battle Pass for the City Fund.

You could say it's a me problem but I blame Sony.

Editing this post so people don't miss out on some freebies.

These redemption codes can be used once you've created your character and reach inter-knot level 4 or 5:
Rewards will show up in your in-game mail box. Enjoy!
Trying to do this now but it says there is no character on the server which is weird because I have completed the first mission at level 4.

I noticed a redeem code thing in-game somewhere, maybe I can do it there?

You have to be level 5 or higher to redeem the codes regardless. So just play a little while longer.

The monetization is pulling for character/weapon banners that are renewed periodically. None of them is necessary to play the full game, though. Still, it triggers a lot of folks who pay for remasters, season passes, and cosmetic packs at 45 USD.
The anti-gacha cultists have never understood that gamers play games, not business models. Real gamers cannot give less of a fuck how a game is monetized, if it's good they will play it

This is also an issue for the Gamepassers, they are also out there playing business models instead of games and it's not working well for them or Microsoft

Yea it has plenty of style but a shame the characters dialogue and voices are all annoying which seems to be the norm for these games. And seeing the combat cues can sometimes be difficult with the amount of flashy effects going on too.

Honestly? The game is pretty good. I didn’t much care for Genshin but I did enjoy my time with HSR and ZZZ seems like a step up from both in both gameplay and presentation. HoYo is really impressing me lately.

Combat is fun. That’s it. The gameplay loop is straight garbage. So much boring dialogue. Entering the “HDD” is such a slog. I tried giving the game a fair shake. Even pulled two S character (the big bear and the chick with the electro pistol), but I’m just not feeling it.

Button mashing one button gets old. Loading between rooms in the hub gets old. Pressing skip on tedious dialogue. Tedious mini-game to get to combat.. it’s visually amazing on my phone though, I’ll say that.

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife

Better than Genshin, thats not hard though considering Genshin is the worst gacha out there. HI3rd even destroys Genshin.

What is a 50/50?? I keep seeing this posted. I have over 10000 polychrome thingies. But I don’t know if I want to try for Ellen. She seems…okay.
If you'll search 90 times and don't get an S Rank agent, with the next 90 times you'll have a 50/50 chance and if that fails then with the next 90 you'll have a 100% chance.

Ellen is one of the best (but more like the best) Ice damage agent in the game along with the Lycaon, and with Soukaku as a support.... The Ice team is the best in the game for now.

50/50 is the pitty system. When you get your 1st S rank drop it will be a 50% chance to get the banner character, in this case Ellen. If you lose the 50/50 and get a diferent S rank character instead, then the next S rank you get will be Ellen garanteed.

Ahh okay. Yeah I did the trial battle with her. She’s fast and very flashy. But my S pull was Koleda. Which is okay I like her. But I think the fire anomaly element is kinda lame.

Oh well I’m assed out then. I got Koleda as my S character.

She's also the best Ether DPS agent in the game and if you'll get her, you can also use Nicole as a support for her.

I feel ya, bro. The only problem with Koleda is her not so great move set when she's the only Fire character on the team, BUT, if you've Ben in your team with her, they can team up and do unique moves and combo finishers together, which is super cool(y)

Before leaving to work this morning I used a large chunk of my polychrome to pull Police Mommy. I had about 8K poly. Now im down to 1600 but it was worth it.

And to your point about Big Ben. I have him. I like the added punch he gives Koleda but I really don’t like using him.

My current team is Grace, Nichole and now Police Mommy. Before I was using Koleda. Next character I want to pull is Neko. Her dps is insane.

Finding this similar to most Hoyo games, where some of the gameplay is interesting enough, but it just becomes SOO much button mashing through text, even with the skip option it's not for everything. Wish that didn't feel like a chore, that's where I gave up on Star Rail which I liked well enough until the current late stage where I would just leave my phone auto progressing through text for way too long at a time

I wrote about the text overload in the OT as well. I hope they'll find some middle ground if enough people will tell them about it. I mean, I don't think it's bad, actually quite the opposite cuz I get why they're doing it, it's just they should focus more on agents and story related quests, lore etc. I'm not skipping everything cuz I find 70-75% of the quests interesting enough to read all the text, but some NPCs just talk too much just for the sake of it, even though whatever they ask you to do is already done and it's time to move on.

We'll see, they're clearly listening to all the feedback and they already fixed and made better some stuff with the 1.1 release.

I hope so. I found Star Rail actually got worse at the end, the main stories on each of the worlds were good but then whatever late stage detective quest thing that was was such a slog
