"We love 30% cuts taken now!" - MicroShiftHowever this time he's hyping Steam instead of their own storefront/platform.
It's quite telling, but yet he won't have the gumption to realise it.
70% of a sale is better than Gamepass stagnation at this point"We love 30% cuts taken now!" - MicroShift
Put the entire Avowed Studio on Elder Scrolls 6. That title needs to be special or everyone is performing lewd acts for money at gas stations.
Isn’t value the same thing that console purist tote when talking about the cost of PC gaming?SoT at $13.99 is unbelievable value.

Funny, I didn't see you take the same stance on Concord. It's kind of sad how focused on sales we are getting. I participate in those discussions myself, but I swear it seems like we put 10x the focus on how a game sells than how it plays.
"Hate" is a strong word, but the short version of the explanation you are looking for is "Because the game is actually worse than its current score suggests".Why do people have such a hate hard on for this game?
It looks and scores in the “good but not great” bracket. Cause it’s not on PS5?

For me personally it's a continuation of the mediocrity AAA games are producing. Why do people have such a hate hard on for this game?

Not at all. I was just replying to your logic.(edit: If you're trying to insinuate that I'm an Xbox defender, you're way off.)

None of our hands are. LolMy hand's aren't clean. Never claimed they were.
None of our hands are. Lol
Anyway, it wasn't necessarily aimed at you, but more in general.
People are very inconsistent with their opinions and views.
Avowed reached Steam’s Top Seller list four days before its full release, becoming America’s number-one-selling game on Steam. Now, spotted by Gameranx, an X post by Aaron Greenberg, VP of Games Marketing at Microsoft, reveals Obsidian has clinched the top spot in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Finland, and more, making the game the number one selling game globally on the platform.
People need to start understanding that positional rankings on sales charts don't necessarily equate to high sales.
You can be #1 on Steam and sell 2 million copies in a week or you could be #1 on Steam for a day and probably sell only 100K units.
It's all relative and as you can see Avowed has already dropped quickly. By the end of the month, i.e. the end of next week, I bet it isn't even in the top 20.
It is if gp is tied to Xbox/pc -msft app. Folks outside will have to pay. If ea/t2 can’t keep up then other companies will eat into their profits. Remember this gen is over by 2027 if a publisher can’t have games ready then a competitor will make gains.I am curious how much this would have sold if this was not available on Gamepass.
Releasing 'big titles' Day 1 on Gamepass does not seem like the smartest business decision.
But then again, I really don't give a shit - practically free games for me!
The power of gamepass amirite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1As I expected Avowed dropped out of the top 20 by the end of the month. Currently 28th globally.
