Don't even care about review score anymore. CCU discussions are where it's at.
He's not the only one, on that page alone there are plenty predicting a 6 out of 10 game and already antecipating that it will only get good scores because of wokeness, because everyone know Obsidian only makes average RPGs that are inflated through reviews......

The actual game will be in the low 70s , but pandering to the modern audience and inserting pronounces will boost the game to the low 80s because game journalism / activism

CCU only matters for GAAS. it indicate player retention on a daily basis.
I don't play excel sheets and concurrent player calculators, I play games.

Just like Dragon Age Wokeguard yes? inflated scores by game journalism , but low user scores and non existent sales. DOnt deny that it is a thing. We already have examples of this.

Or an excuse by warriors that because the game is on Gamepass we should expect low CCU / software sales.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl got a peak CCU of 121,335 despite releasing on Gamepass day one . So we have an example of successful games launching on Gamepass and having high CCU on Steam.

Not everyone subscribes to Game Pass. If there's genuine interest in the game like Starfield or Stalker 2, then we'll see respectable CCUs for the game.
- Will it have a higher CCU count than LAD Pirate Yazkuza?
- Will it have a higher CCU count than Failguard?
- Will it be similar to Indiana Jones' CCU count?

CCU means next to nothing these days with games like this.

I’m not expecting miracles from the Steam CCU count. Firstly, the game is on Gamepass, and secondly, most WRPGs don’t really chart that high, with a few notable exceptions. Look at the CCU count for the Pillars games, or others like Outer Worlds, Solasta, and Rogue Trader. Maybe it can capture the imagination like BG3 did, but no Obsidian game has ever managed that, not even New Vegas.

Does anybody care and would not recommend any fans of RPGs to not play it because of sales? I don't get this morbid curiosity. Yea, gamers have shit tastes for the most part. No wonder GAAS appeared like mushrooms. Same thing for immersive sims, how many studios closed because gamers didn't show up to some of the best genres in gaming?

I don’t see the same theorizing for reviews for Monster Hunter Wilds either.

Being better than Outer Worlds is a start.
Based on early footage it looks like more of the same. Hopefully the character building is more interesting this time around.
The writing quality is my biggest concern.

Combat look much better, way more punchy, it's 95% of the reason why i'm gonna try the game even after the outer worlds gave me pubic crabs.

Nearly half of those who voted think the game is going to garner a review average of 79 or lower. Going to be interesting to see reviews drop in a couple days!
