That tweet is obnoxious.

But to play devil's advocate (and as someone who hasn't played either of these games), I think creators should have the right to disallow their characters to be used in other games. This is steel manning his position somewhat but it can be seen as a form of selling out and messing with the integrity of his story having lighthearted cameos elsewhere. It can weaken the brand if it comes across as too corporate and tacky.

The reason why you created that game in the first place is because a big corporation owns the studio you work for, makes you have a pay check and you're working FOR them. This reasoning makes no sense. Did that guy pay for the development of Days Gone?

If i create a website for a client, should i own the work i got paid to make? huh?

He was just complaining about Deacon being featured in an actual game that celebrates Playstation history...now he's complaining Sony didn't include him in a single trailer?

Make up your mind dude!

Also...the funny thing? Didn't see a single comment on people saying "hey, where's Deacon?"
Even Bloodborne and Demon Souls got mentioned

And here I thought Sony forgor

John Garvin (similar to his buddy Jaffe) havent done anything in games in years.

Jaff and Garvin had a 3 hr interview a year or two. I watched an hour of it. A very good video but I didnt feel like sitting through 3 hours of it. They go over Days Gone and the business side and dev of games which was great to hear. But you could also tell he's sore at Days Gone and no DG 2.

I mean, it's a 2-minute video clip covering three decades of product, the edit has a third of the clip show 3rd Party games, and despite there being a few quick PS1 clips in the mix, there's not a frame of the old Syphon Filters that would have looked good against this crowd. (PSP SF has some expressive moments, but of course, Sony ignored PSP/Vita's legacy in this clip as well.)

...But all due respect to the complete PS library, Syphon Filter and/or some aspect of work from one of the longest-running studios in the PlayStation WWS family deserves to be in the clip.

He's in a knife fight with David Jaffe to determine who gets that title.

I actually don't quite agree. Jaffe is just constantly saying inflammatory things on the internet because for some dumb reason, that's the direction his career has gone. But while he can at times be critical of Sony, I don't really hear him constantly bitching about how he's been wronged by Sony, treated unfairly by Sony, bitching that Twisted Metal doesn't get the respect it deserves or whatever. He doesn't really seem bitter that his time there is over. He's pretty consistently taken the approach of hey, it was great, it's over now, and I'm pretty financially set for life as a result of my time there.

Like holy shit what happened? John garvin can't let it go.

Garvin, Jaffe, Shawn layden.... there's a lot of former ps folks who are not doing themselves any favors.

Honestly I think yall broke Jaffes brain with all the shit talk when he was still active here!!!!
