Final Trailer for Indiana Jones and The Great Circle Released

Even besides all the woke shit that will undoubtedly be in this game it boggles my mind there are folks unironically excited about this in this thread. This is run of the mill AAA slop that will do nothing new in terms of gameplay. You have played this game a million times. Just got back to the old Uncharted titles for a better experience.

But this is nothing like Uncharted.

I’m expecting this game to go the opposite way. If you look at uncharted or modern tomb raider one can tell it’s made for the casual core audience. Indy seems to have immersive sim dna. Casuals will be filtered.

If you think this and uncharted are the same pass me whatever you’re taking.

Love these kinds of posts, because it’s easy to spot the shite.

“Doesn’t do anything new for a AAA game, but go play the Uncharted games that are better.” Because the Uncharted games really reinvented the wheel. Love those games, but they’re about as cookie cutter as adventure games get. People are excited because it’s not a run and gun game. It’s supposed to be a bit different in that regard.

Please keep talking out of your arse, though.

You're an embarrassment to the genuinely good name of Windom Earle.

If someone wanked off to her when she was a girl, does that make him gay now?

Asking for a friend.

The game might be technically sound with good production value cinematics.

But in modern day, how many people care about Indiana Jones? The franchise was at its biggest in the 80s, and its popularity carried over to some console or PC games in the 90s. It's now 2024 and the recent movie is junk.

definitely targeted older gamers such as myself

for those of us who grew up with the films, this IP will always be magic despite the shitty recent ones

I still think Raiders of the Lost Ark is greatest adventure film ever made, and is definitely in my top 10 list of greatest films of all time

I'm somewhat younger (by comparison I guess) who didn't really watch the original 3 Indy movies until pretty late into the 2010's and am very eagerly looking forward to them.

I think / hope these will be a lot closer to, and reverent to, the original trilogy instead of trying to be similar to the last 2.

I dont even remember the old movies much except the main action parts everyone knows. All I remember is for Last Crusade is the Grail part and a school buddy and I biked a good 30-40 minutes at the mall to watch it.

Maybe I'll watch them again. I got a bunch of oldies I'm going to watch over the holidays which I dont remember or only saw part of it... The Outsiders and The Lost Boys.

Just saw the system requirements….
This game will apparently push my main PC to the limit, Ultra RT requirement is absolutely wild, will need to scale it down on the living room PC. 😬

Didn't realise this has path tracing. Those full RT requirements are wild. 1440P with DLSS balanced (835p) and only hitting 60FPS with frame gen.. on a 4080 lol

Devs forgot to optimise this shit.
I wonder if we're gonna get an Nvidia RT trailer before launch. I really hope the RT is actually transforming in this title, not just a 50% FPS decrease with almost no visible difference like in Diablo 4 e.g. :D

RT is forced by default so I guess we’ve seen how it looks already?

What we haven’t seen is the path tracing, or « full RT » as they market now. For sure that at th le very least will look phenomenal, but like Wukong, not worth the performance hit unless you are on Ada top end cards.

Yep, worth noting that all the PC requirements listed show Hardware RT included, hence they seem high.

Now, whether that means that the game *only* has RT modes and there's no way to turn it off, we don't know yet.

The unbelievably high system requirements, even on IdTech (which is fantastic normally), and Denuvo's inclusion pretty much guarantee that this game is coming in hot.

It'll most likely have performance issues at launch.

Yeah, it has some of the telltale signs of coming in hot.
  • Last minute review embargo
  • PC specs just days before, higher than graphics warrant indicate potential unoptimized
  • Physical release doesn’t have the game in the disc, just a download
  • End of year release date to squeeze this out in the calendar year
All this speaks to developers trying to buy themselves every possible hour available to quash bugs and issues before release

Yeah we should. And thankfully more games are pushing more advanced RT. While the performance and requirements are getting out of hand, we should at least see some good stuff. But the performance is just.. yeah. Not good.

At this point, if people want PT in their games they might as well wait a few months for Blackwell.

Review embargo the day before is last minute and represents a rushed game? Wasn’t Baldurs Gate day of? Elden Ring two days before release? Astro Bot one day before release?

Some of y’all try too hard. Just wait and see instead of speculation that makes no sense.

Review embargo is Dec 5th. Release according to Steam is Dec 5th.

Does that mean all the footage currently available is from high-end PCs only? Is there an XSX or XSS footage?

(I doubt those would have ray-tracing at 60 FPS modes, so we'd be able to compare)

No, I think the situation is more like Metro exodus EE where consoles are also with RT GI.

There’s no reasons otherwise if they have a raster pipeline to not have it disabled in the minimum of minimum settings that forces RT hardware GPU.

Well, finally got the XSX pre-load started after only ever seeing the 130mb placeholder. I had me clear 266gb (double) before the update / DL would start. But it looks like its 133gb. What? Is the the PS4 all over again?

I assumed the embargo was the day before release. You corrected me that it’s actually three days before release. The logic is still stupid.

Even if you want to say day one embargo because of early access release, that’s fine. So I guess that means Baldur’s Gate 3 was a rushed buggy mess at launch. Oh wait, it wasn’t. The logic is still stupid.

Again, y’all try too hard. It’s sad that such basic logic needs to be spelled out as if I am talking to a child.

Don’t waste your time. Even if the reviews came out 5 months ago, it would still be too late for all the whiners.
