I'm sorry if this has already been asked a dozen times; should I save my llamas for later when I'm a higher level all around, or should I just open them immediately? I got mixed responses from google.

Loving the game. I do feel the grind already, but it hasn't detracted from the experience yet.

I wouldn't wait based on level.

Make your decision based on the value of the llama.

350 packs are garbage. 100 packs are OK when you still need stuff.

The bigger packs are better for ensuring you'll get legendaries.

I was really enjoying this at the beginning, but I feel myself turning on it a bit. It's just so fucking convoluted, everything about it is convoluted. I don't think I can think of another example where the core gameplay is so basic, but the systems around it are such a nightmare to wrap your head around.

Survival mode that can last up to 3:30? Don't think I'll be able to do that, though I hope there are some good rewards for us who are more casual.

That's what they said in announcement video.

How many minutes is 1 in game day? 14 (a fortnite) of them in a row to survive? I guess a game day is 15 minutes then?

3.5 hours if you last the entire fortnite.

Is a wave based mode. Nobody is going to survive much long the first weeks, if is well designed, it will take months for normal people to get into the interesting waves.

People wanted a infinite mode. 3.5 hours is not infornite, but can be a good compromise.

Is it wave-based? I think that's coming too (horde mode), but the mode they described is more 7 Days to Die than that (harvest during the day, survive the night).

Oh wow, didn't notice this with the streamers, they just stopped making content? They need to address things fast.

I've been lucky with gold llamas but its one thing after another, the fact that you rely on llamas too much, and the fact that gold llamas tend to not be valuable because they are eaten by survivors being too heavily weighed against everything else.

There is somply too much that can drop from llamas.

I dont even want to play it anymore and I haven't since my last post about it. And I haven't gotten very far in it and its not fun and too grindy

Bah, you need like 5 epic heroes to make that legendary one at the end of Plank

It doesn't have to be heroes though. At least for other schematics you could use any.

It should show the max amount of points required and each item has a value so you can easily do the math to see if you can hit the required amount which should be max points to get a legendary.

I'm not quite there yet, I'm like 6 storyline quests away from it. I have 0 epic heroes to throw in, not that I'd willingly do that, but I have too many epic weapons with poor bonus stats to ever level up and evolve.

What additional resource does it take? That could be harder than the epics for me. I presume it's manuals.

Finally!, after trying so many times I finally hit Loot Level 6 Chest for first time. All it took was the last mission...

Last mission in Stonewood. It took me and 2 Random Platinum in every category and still come under time and explore the whole map to reach it

All that effort for this!, Fuck that!:

I get more out of level 2-3 Chests inside a map that are hidden, wow no wonder no one tries for max

2 powercells are pretty good. The xp does seem low but I don't remember the payout of stonewood missions for a 3-4 level chest. They could include something extra for the effort though.

I think it's made easy to hit level 6 chest on the last mission. Just a guess, I think most people hit level 6 chest on the mission.

You need manuals and 200xp (epic is 200xp and legendary is 500xp for heroes) times 5 (one in each slot) for enough exp to get the legendary.

I really want hero profiles now that I'm regularly switching between a constructor, soldier and outlander.

Yes, switching the survivors to optimize is not realistic as it takes too long. They need to improve this UI portion the most. I think the alpha UI I played was better, but they screwed it up to compensate for consoles where that UI was really only for KBM.

So it takes 500 and each epic hero is 200? What about epic weapons/defenders etc.. They aren't equal values.

It takes 1000 exp or so iirc and a legendary hero you have is worth 500 exp, and each epic hero is worth 200.

Weapons are like 100 for epics or something.

Kinda shitty but I got an S tier assault so :D

Mine was a waste on the melee outlander guy, just using him for the transform class of your choice you supposesly get for valley ssd 3. So damn tired of all this RNG, surprised if this hints at the developers having little to no say in this, it just seems so insane that it doesn't even look good on paper.

I wish I wouldnt need to grind for ammo as much, SSD and higher level requires so much mats you spend too long just farming this shit.

Blueprints you level, heroes and weapons should also grant 90% of the tears or something like that back when you retire them, I got so much XP and need like 60+ tears just to try a new weapon out and they are not east to get a hold off.

Farming also wouldn't be such an issue if missions consistently offered the same rewards for a set period of time. Oh, how I would love to grind said mission for raindrops only for it to suddenly change after the 2nd completion. The RNG on top of RNG to find a mission that rewards raindrops and maybe that exp card you want (hero, schematic, etc) sucks.

Someone on Reddit posted all the level 64 missions and had I known you would get specific class legendary transform schematics I wouldn't have used the Plankerton one:

*Kill 2 Mimic
*You Threatening Me| 0/3 lvl 64+ Missions
*Takers Weepers| 0/25 Mist Slain
*Trololo| 0/3 Troll Wacked
*Destroy Encampments| 0/3
*Mission| Save 10 Survivors & 0/2 64+ missions
*The Road Less Traveled| 0/3 64+ missions - Legendary Soldier Transform Schematic
*Don't Look Back| 0/3 64+ missions - 5 Active Power Cells
*Carry the Team| 0/2 64+ missions - Epic Lead Survivor
*Grasping at straws| 0/3 64+ missions
*A drop in the bucket| 0/3 64+ missions - Legendary Constructor Transform Schematic
*Survival of the Fittest| 0/2 64+ missions - 1 training, 1 trap, & 1 weapon design
*The Big Picture| 0/3 64+ missions - Legendary Outlander Transform Schematic
*The Husks Don't Stand a Chance| 0/3 64+ missions - 2 mini llama
*Hands On| 0/3 64+ missions - Legendary Ninja Transform Schematic
*Second Wind| 0/3 64+ Missions - Epic Survivor + 6500 survivor xp
*Canny Valley Storm Shield Defense 5

So for anyone wanting a specific class legendary I would hang on to your resources.

I don't think there's any doubt that this game's troubles can be traced to people in suits.

There was a point when the microtransactions in this game were cosmetic-only.

Right now I'm working on 46+ power zones for my quests and honestly, I'm struggling to make weapons unless I spend most the match farming or playing missions which if lucky have reward mats for me to make my weapons.

The fact tears are so rare IMO and you need so many I'm stuck between no mats weapons and too low level to be efficient ones. Also sad how I gain nothing for playing with lower level friends :(

So finally completed plank 6 defense. Too forever to set up even minimal defenses cause of the reset. And even with 4 people that was a hard defense. Never took any real damage on amps but just so many enemies I thought we might fail on the last defense due to how many elemental husks spawned.

Good info. Doesn't even seem like I'll be capable of using the random one let alone the class specific. I still have yet to open a single epic hero.

31 but I've not played in the last couple days. Right now I'm stuck thinking to myself that either I'll get nothing back for the time put in, or that the missions objectives have been the same boring stuff for a long time at the end of Plankerton, or that I'll have to deal with another SSD when I finally complete this last page.

Plus I've practically stopped bothering to try get a game at night on PS4. I really do get the feeling the consoles are stuck on the EU/NA server with no ability to switch.

Bought this last night. Unfortunately, I'm not really feeling it. I'm not engaged in the gameplay loop and everything just feels a bit boring. I like the combat, but nothing else is really pulling me in. I'm kinda burnt on it already, but I've already dropped the $40 on it, so I feel I have to play it to get my money's worth.

Is there is a point where it gets better? I'm only on Quest Page 4 for Stonewood.

Finished Planktown. Launched the rocket. Very happy about it.

I did some classic sandwitch barricades to funnel the mobs to death tunnels. One of the tunnels where trough a half destroyed house. Abused all the basement holes with pushers.

In the end, it was easy ... trough hard work. Of the 4 death tunnels, one was unusable by the mobs, but they still tried to go trough it, so it was 3 tunnels for 4 people, and it was easy to move from one tunnel to the other to assist people or kill the brute togueter.

I can now use the 3th skills tree web. Feels good, even if is moot point.

I don't know if the devs intentionally are doing this without realizing it, with all its shortcomings and archaic structures, this game seriously is not made to be played for long progressions in sittings

The way I feel is your suppose to jump in into the game here/there and make progress
Nothing will show you the "man behind the curtain"

If you invest too much time into the game in one go, it really falls apart quickly, with it having a f2p system like never seen before to add on to you realizing the game needs serious fixes

I many not have spent $40 on it, got this with a trade and wouldn't recommend it to anyone, yet I play daily
Casually of course, 1-2 play sessions looking for best rewards and quests completions

I'm power level 19, second mission in Plankerton, 2520 V-Bucks (all free), and just take the game in small bursts
I see those who invest 6+ hours just get burned out or see so many problems the game does have, stand out more cause the repetitiveness feeds the frustrations

For me it's 1-2 hours on Fortnite, then onto Paragon for a hour, then 2-3 in Orcs Must Die Unchained
Been doing it like this and not really feel the decay

I mean soon even I'll get irritated at someone quickly airbrushing it on velvet to Godspeeding it to Gods atop Mount Olympus

I definitely think the game is best played in smaller sessions too. I play just a few missions at most per day. Like some days I just play 1 mission. It's fun and I move on. Other days I do complete a few quests like today I wanted to get to canny and now I am at canny.

I play this way because it's the type of game I think I can play for a long time, if I play this way. It's not even finished yet, there is no point to going ham all throughout the game. And being a f2p we know it's the type of game that'll get more content over time. No need to burn out.

Also I think the first area and the player population is almost Random in most co-op/PvP thought process of "Fuck you I got mines"

In second area I joined a play with others to test it out
Put me in a 40 zone while I'm 19
All 3 others people were 31
They were so accommodating

Might be just a one off thing, but Holy Shit they used chat and communicated

They said Storm Chest, even underpowered my guns and abilities chipped away enemies, they were glad I was a team player
I saw a chest, made a mimic noise, put it in chat need help and get your rewards, they came and helped!

They when set up trap boxes and got good rewards
All of us, not one complaint on why a 21 power level deficit was doing in the map

I swear that really rejuvenated me to play more of Plankerton then Stormwood

Got 4 skill points, my XP bar filled up 3 times from all the XP and the extra goodies, traps I carried back to my base to use

So right now in the loot store the special llama is on "People Llama".. does that mean heroes in there or is that just survivors and stuff?
