Coming from TR2 the year before, playing with switches and cubes is so much more… in the right proportions?
I can wait. I couldn't hold out on The Thing.Fine... I'll double dip
Some of this reviews /facepalm
Tomb Raider was released worldwide physically, if it's LRG then it obviously didn't sell that well. Not yet but don't be surprised if LRG announces a print run a few months down the line.

To be fair TR had them as well, although I'm interested about SR2 as that was a PS2 so I'm curious what enhancement there areThis is a lot less ambitious of a project than the TR games it seems.
Some of the reviews out also complain about bugs and glitches.
If they just port the whole series I'll call it a win.I preordered this just so they would start developing new games in this amazing series.
You might actually want to back this.I preordered this just so they would start developing new games in this amazing series.
Are these going to hold up to newcomers who forgot to play them originally back in the day?
Yeah. For instance, it has native DualSense support and yet the developers opted default for Steam Input on PC, making the game think you're using an Xbox controller and showing respective prompts. Some of the reviews out also complain about bugs and glitches.
I'm not sure the new in-game map makes any sense. When you start it shows you up at the top, in the north. Once you reach the first portal, which is like a 500m jog, it says you're at the very bottom, in the south.
Currently I have mixed feelings about this. 21:9 and high FPS support is nice and all, but if you're on PC I actually prefer the emulated PS1 version. The old visuals suit the horror atmosphere and Raziel looks more creepy.
It's still a good thing you can enjoy this brilliant game on a modern console, though. Or on the Steam Deck without fiddling.

If you disable SteamInput with the DualSense it works. However, tutorial button prompts tell you that digi pad up is locking on enemies while it's actually R1.
Yes, on PS5 it's R3.Isn't there a kind of old/new graphics switch like TR1-3 Remastered ?
Oh, yeah, there is. I was just meaning to say that if you're playing on PC and prefer the old graphics there's little (not none, though) incentive to buy this if you've access to the PS1 (or even the old PC) version.Isn't there a kind of old/new graphics switch like TR1-3 Remastered ?
The original PC version of SR1 was an absolute ballache to get working on modern systems and required heavy modding. This has achievements and cut content. I prefer the Dreamcast version over the PS1 one personally due to it being at 60fps, this version lets you play with the original PS1 assests with an unlocked framerate. It's the definitive version imo.Oh, yeah, there is. This sounds great! I remember the DC version also having slightly better textures for main characters.I prefer the Dreamcast version over the PS1 one personally due to it being at 60fps
