But just as the sun rises in the morning and the days get longer in Spring, it is inevitable.

The Colombian channel that was taken out of cable TV was the only one live reporting what was happening. There's literally nothing on national TV really, just normal programming. They're not even warning population that it may be dangerous to go out in some zones for fuck sakes. It's truly horrible.
All the info we get and provide is via twitter and uploaded videos to youtube.

People have been shot in the head, unarmed students. This Maduro is nothing short of an ignorant evil coward, few people I would desire the worst, and he is one of them.

Venezuela stay strong and overcome this shit, this people need to pay with suffering and their lives. People have been made examples of for having weed or some petty stuff, this ruling elite need to pay in the harshest manner possible to show that such corruption and cruelty will not be tolerated.

When is it considered legitimate to try and overthrow a democratically-elected government? In Washington, the answer has always been simple: when the US government says it is. Not surprisingly, that's not the way Latin American governments generally see it.

How long will it be before Maduro calls these protesters "La Cia" agents?

Maduro sucks ass but I hope the people know what they are getting if they get rid of him.

Guys please read a little bit about pre/post chavism Venezuela and USA position on the whole thing. Please try to understand the bigger picture before insulting anyone that tries analyse the problem beyond what is being passed by the mainstream media.

The internet has been cut off on the city where the protests have been the strongest since last night.
It's sickening to me there's people out there still acting as if this isn't a dictatorship.

Or the people protesting are young enough to have never remembered being second class citizens under Ivy League educated European elite.

Doubt it. Much of the Ven Military has been thoroughly purged of anti Chazez/Maduro officers. The army is strongly PSUV, as is much of the civil service.

Yes, there has been a lot of misinformation thrown around, but there has also been real, verified information. Like what I and other users have reported.

In regards to some form of "sponsorship" from the United States in order to change the goverment, I really have nothing to say, what I can say is that Venezuela's economic problems, security problems, scarcity of products, and many others are not the United States fault

You are trying to "analyze" the problem by posting a really shitty article and someone putting some pictures up in taringa. Misinformation always happen and people post stupid shit on social media. But you can't use that argument against the things that are really happening in Venezuela right now. Things are fucked up, people are getting killed and the goverment is abusing its power.

I apologize because that was rude, but it makes my blood boil how easy people buy the propaganda from the other side. I know the situation of Venezuela very well, I'm colombian and have aquiantances there, one of my best friends has family over there, I've heard first witness accounts of things that happen there, the things that never get to the news. It makes me specially frustrated that the leftists movements of latinamerica use the discourse of equality to convince gullible people abroad and the international community in general, when they are no better and have never been better than their right wing counterparts.

It's official, at least they have revoked the work permits for CNN reporters in Venezuela, so I'm expecting any time now for them to take CNN out of the air.

I know its one thing to have opinions but to know there is still people that support this regime after what has been happening here these days... Well it's really sickening.

I believe the "spark" was because a Tachira governor's bodyguard tried to rape an under-aged girl. For that reasons the justified outraged student's movement shot several rocks at the governor house. After that, at Youth's day, the protest started across the country for several reasons but in a nutshell:

-Impunity.
-Food and goods Shortages.
-State of law's (constitution) violation.

Since Youth's day, students and citizenship protest against Maduro and his de facto regime. And until now there were several casualties: deaths, tortured, injured, vandalism, authority abuse and harassment.

The FNB (National army) storms residence and flat buildings without any respect for private property or human rights, launch tear gas and shoots buckshot. During their assault they try to destroy smartphones and cameras and anything that will mean substancial evidence , when they capture students they don't doubt in gave them an inhuman beating or jail them in order to blackmail parents, they let paramilitary motorbikers to harass and shoot random people....

Yesterday my residential community was assaulted by Army forces, they broke the fences and security cameras, launched several tear gas bomb and gave a beating to any student outside they find..That was a nightmare
