Just half an hour for Famitsu Top10 so I shall use this post to remind everyone that's the deadline for predictions.

Everyone is going to get owned by last week's predictions.

The Ninokuni launch conference just finished, it was announced that the initial shipment is 600k. Note that this doesn't really tell us much for sales, since Level 5's publishing history has always been based on loading retailers with a huge initial shipment with the hope/promise that it will sell out eventually (usually near the holidays).

Maybe they mainly thought about in US and Europe when they said 2011. Or maybe it was planned to be 2011 in Japan as well, but they managed to get it out in 2010 anyway. But i dont know, i am just guessing

Reminds me of the Inazuma Eleven 3 story I read the other day that they were donating 20000 balls bought from the money obteined in the 1,1m IE3 sold as of September. Last update is still 250k off that amount, and its not selling much anymore plus the 3rd game is coming in a week.

But it does seem to work. Even though IE3 hasn't sold through a million yet, the shipment number did go up since launch, so they're certainly doing something right.
