Super Smash Bros. for 3DS shouldn't have trouble matching Super Smash Bros. Brawl opening.

It's 'only' medal related.
I couldn't remember the number but thought I'd name-check it to give some perspective as it's been number one ever since release.
GamesMaya's report:
- Smash Bros had a slow start in the morning in this shop. But in the afternoon it was a mad rush. Big Hit, a lot of people were in the shop.
- Great week overall, starting with Destiny and ending with Smash.
- The Bundle PS4+Destiny is sold out, and the PS3 version too. Next shipment for the 17th.
- Smash Bros was sold out too. But the next shipment is planned for this week (so tomorrow??). So a long waiting is not needed.
Wonder how many bundles there was for the first week. PS4 over 30k next week? Over 40k?
FFXIII helped push the PS3 to 237k for that week. Destiny is a much bigger title with a $500 million budget. I think the PS4 will do 250k easily!

I'm more interested in how Destiny did. Both PS3 and PS4 versions are sold out.

If it's sold out since yesterday, that would mean doing as much Brawl did in its first 4 days...except SSB 4 would've reached it in just one day.

Apparently Attack on Titan Chain can be purchased as an update off the eShop, so that might depress sales in terms of Media Create/Famitsu.
Wouldn't they get estimates just for the download version in this case? Or did they already have a similar case (update that was also available at retail)?Famitsu estimates eShop sales, so that's not a problem.

It dosn't matter if it has a 500$ million budget a big Japanese ip will always be bigger then a big american ip.
I don't see more then 10k boost for ps4
That price tag might as well double up for units sold. ;_;

I'm not sure what the context is with this conversation but I'll like to chime in. I think you're right but wrong at the same time.
There's no drought that Destiny is the bigger title with its budget but we're talking about Japan here. I'm sure that the Japanese First Person Shooter streamers I see on Playstation live is only a very small percentage of the first person fan base in Japan but for Destiny to be bigger than the Final Fantasy series no matter what the budget is and to expect it to move more units than a Final Fantasy game is.... Well... Highly unlikely.
I would love to be proven wrong just so that the PS4 can have a heartbeat in Japan until the Japanese centric games start coming out.
