New Love+ got delayed - it will be released on Valentines Day Feb 14th
Smart decision - it will profit from the way bigger userbase by than and won't have be sandwiched between MK 7 and Tri G.
If I were Level 5 I would also try to delay IE Go. But that probably not an option for them.
No, IE Go is needed for 3DS Holiday.
And Holiday is the perfect place for a game dedicated to the younger audience.
It will have also the movie as booster for its second week.
However, I would like to talk about Namco Bandai.
For Japan, the "Bamco" times seem so distant now...
In fact, in a row, they obtained to do
1) A main SRT on the right console, with almost 400k sold, and it's the first part (so, there will be the second part, and other money will be gained!)
2) The best result for a Tales of spin-off, with Radiant Mythology 3
3) Some 100k worthy Gundam spin-offs
4) Being since the launch on 3DS, with various content and good results (Ridge Racers 3D and Tales of the Abyss almost 100k, and One Piece Unlimited Cruise SP which not only outsold both the originals, but it could do 200k or even near the total of the originals combined)
5) Selling good games with good content...on the Wii.
Family Fishing could approach 100k in the end of the year, which is a lot for a fishing simulator, and Go Vacation is outselling with a very fast pace Family Ski and Family Ski & Snowboard, the precedent games of the team
6) But above all, they predicted that PS3 would have been the perfect place for their software.
Macross with the Movie bundle
Ace Combat
Idolmaster 2 doing 80k in two weeks
THE RETURN OF THE TALES BRAND TO 600k, numbers that looked like being only sweet past memories
And now they'll bring to PS3 Gundam Vs. and one of the most commercial and reasonable operations seen in the recent history: One Piece Pirate Warriors.
What surprise me is how they're selling good on basically every platform, even Wii, and also their fast pace in releasing game.
And now, they're even doing "risky" operations, bringing back some older brands, such as the SRT spin off Masou Kishin on PSP, and the Compatible Heroes saga, with an action on PSP and a dungeon crawler on 3DS.
They changed their approach a lot in the last two years.
With very good results in Japan
