PSP is the new PS2

3DS is the new Nintendo System.
Final Fantasy XIII-2 (800k), I think.Harvest Moon seems to have held well.
And WOW at One Piece.
What's currently the second highest LTD - and what's the likelihood of One Piece Musou topping that?

Combining all versions available, here are the PS3 games over 500k:Using lots of dodgy maths and combining versions re5 but i doubt it'll top that, i'm thinking it'll be pretty front loaded
Sony wont do that, at least not in the near future. They just announced two new color PSP releases for example, so it is no sign of Sony killing off the PSP. They still havnt killed off the PS2 either.I'm actually wondering if sony dont do the stupid thing and try and kill the psp early to give vita a boost if psp has a shot at beating the ps2 hardware sales

Yeah, they might have thought about it indeed. But as you mention, it is no guarantee that people will buy a Vita, they could end up buying other systems instead (like the 3DS). So it would be a big gamble for Sony to kill off the PSP earlier than needed.I dont think they will either but i'm sure the idea must be crossing their mind as a way to boost vita, though they will probably come to the same conclussion i have that it would probably boost the 3ds just as much if not more
So, like 10 minutes before MC numbers?

So. thanks to One Piece, the Musou brand is back to its PS2 era strength

[PS2] Dynasty Warriors 5 (Koei) - 560.733 / 917.985 / 61,08% 24/02/05
It's the second best debut EVER for a Musou game, just behind DW4
I guess you mean the production? That makes sense. I guess that old stock is selling then, but at least the PS2 is still available for sale.PS2 is dead since 2010.

The Musou series really fell off a cliff after the PS2, it's quite impressive.
You missed Samurai Warriors. The first one sold 620,893 in the first week on PS2. 1,024,253 total.
Production can't be dead worldwide though, the PS2 is still sold in markets like EU, Brazil and India.
Is it still sold in the EU? I aint seen any here in the uk for a good 2 or 3 years
I can see One Piece Musou has the same first week of this but I wouldn't expect it to have the same legs to get past 1 million.
I see that some websites here in EU still sells PS2, but i dont know if that is old stock though. But maybe they still produce PS2s for other markets outside of Japan indeed.Production can't be dead worldwide though, the PS2 is still sold in markets like EU, Brazil and India.

Yeah, you're right. So, it's the third best debut ever for a Musou game. Such an awesome success already for Namco. 800k are definitively reachable.
Yeah, that makes sense, since the PS2 is probably quite cheap to produce now. They do. PS2 is a major source of income due to developing countries buying consoles.

It seems like Harvest Moon Land of Beginning is doing really well.
I wonder if it can beat Island of Happiness.
That is cool Personally havnt seen any new PS2 games for sales here in stores where i live, only used ones at Gamestop.I just saw 2 new PS2 consoles in stock in the german "saturn" I visited yesterday, PS2 software still holds a shelf for itself, PS2 is ddefinitely still there.
Vita 10,023
Hilarious.
KEEP THE DREAM ALIVE, SONY.
