I really hope we see some FPS boosts for Series X games now that this has closed. The Crash and Spyro trilogy remakes at 60fps would be great. Some possible res boosts for the CoD catalog would be pretty amazing as well.

That's the obvious danger of an acquisition. We'll see how it goes, but I expect some good things due to Game Pass. It's more likely we get less yearly crap and maybe a return to some old franchises with Activision under Xbox. I feel like Blizzard and King will function as normal, though.

This whole "scared of the war chest" thing is a myth pre-Bethesda acquisition at least. Maybe you're referring to the more recent "some time ago" and if so, my apologies. The popular argument was actually that MS DIDN'T have a war chest. I distinctly remember the Pete Dodd days of Xbox talking to Amazon. Things have sure changed.
