Nintendos said they got better third party for Switch 2

That's my fear.

You can see it coming a mile away, 3rd parties dump a lot of ports onto the switch 2, nobody buys the game cause most of us will have likely have bought these games on something else and then the 3rd parties complain their games don't sell.

If they are going to go that they need extra content like Nintendo done with some of their Wii U ports, even then its going to be difficult.
Convenience and portability factor is basically baked into Switch so even basic ports as long as they run relatively well should be fine. I don't think there was many publishers complaining about Switch ports underperforming, actually the opposite in a lot of cases.
Ports simply became less viable as the generation continued with the release of Series and PS5 consoles so we might see a repeat of that in 4 or 5 years time again.

Ports, ports everywhere.
I mean now that Steam Deck and Asus ROG Ally are out, I see even less of an incentive to get the Switch 2 version if all I wanted was the portability factor. Plus the ports will more likely than not be the inferior versions.

lol nah, it will be the same situation they have with Switch, I'm not expecting any thing different here.

i mean, we'll see if it's a mistake

I think you didn't understand what I said. Nintendo wasn't implying those publishers will support switch 2 (like the thread's title makes it seem). They just showed publishers that released games on Switch, that's all. They were just talking about how - with the switch - they were able to get more 3rd party support.

So this doesn't mean, in any way, that publishers who are absent from that image won't be releasing games for the Switch 2.

Precisely. This investor talk was very much "this is what we achieved with Switch".

Switch 2 talk will come later.
