Nah it's after college that shit goes downhill. Being able to do whatever you want while still having your parents foot the bills is the best time. I'd go back to college years in a heartbeat. High school not so much.

My District just got some Star Wars Battlefront PS4 Bundles in Stock Yesterday and now we have two different PS4 SKUs for sale at my Gamestop SWB/BLOPS3 respectively and some customers weren't biting at the price at first, However , i can state that abdiel was telling the truth when he said we are getting the last minute christmas shoppers buying the PS4 at $349 WHICH is actually still outselling the $299 xbox one gears bundle Currently at my store Within my District

I'm always saying there's something to be enjoyed from all the different times in one's life (got that from the great philosopher Tangina Barrons), but man, having kids not only cuts down your free time majorly, it also brings the pressure in providing for the family BIG time as well (F* daycare prices!).

So I just ran a review score quick data set for that dumb metacritic thread. Thought some of you cats would find it interesting.
Basically, fewer titles this gen with higher review scores on average as fewer poor quality games are being made this gen than last.

Hmm, it would be highly interesting™ if this were the case all over. Last year, the X1 price gave it the edge. So, would it be that the third party deals and marketing from Sony is strong enough to cancel out the lower price of X1 for this short period of time?

50 fewer releases for XB and 20 fewer for PS. Do you think the lower-end of those releases have moved to mobile because there's a better chance for money there? And of course some of them have gone digital only as well.

Yep. You can see this most on the Wii to Wii U. All that shovelware money went to mobile. Other factors in there too, but I'm thinking you've named the primary reasons.

Im seeing an indication that this month (december) will be another tough one to call.
Real question is will Wii U do better in December than November, bad numbers for all the "sold out" stock reports.
I also wonder if Xbox or PS will keep the price drop, even if its for standalone consoles. In fact, that would be good idea and probably wouldn't hurt either financially.

The momentum from winning November should carry over into December. The only issue for PS4 would be stock but that seems to be doing fine based off of retail musings. So, yeah.
I am expecting both consoles to have another stellar month as we head into "consoles are ded" January.

That's par for the course though.
Consoles will be dead in January. Then they'll have a surprising surge in February that people will try to attribute to some game of their choice. Then there will be a muted March that's not as up from February as many expect. Then it'll lead into the slow decline of April, May, bump in June with some new bundle or whatever (again), continue declining in July, August, price drop or something in September, "preseason over" in October, and right back around to wowser, wowser November again.

that was my initial reasoning for why they only had the sale till the 19th but now that i think about it why even give an option for certain customers to choose the other console just to make a few extra bucks per console for a couple of weeks. i would just ride the momentum!!
He hasn't been doing it for ages, so it was fun for old time's sake.

Does the Bone really have that many fewer packaged releases than the PS4, or are the Bone versions just not officially scored as often?
