Alaska to Bush. 21 more.

I cannot believe this is happening...
Ohio.Nash said:What the hell were you doing voting on gay marriage proposals on the same night as a presidential election anyway?
Call me cynical, but that looks like a good way of motivating the more right-wing voter to come out and vote against it. And those voters would then also vote for Bush at the same time.
Which states had the gay marriage vote, any of the key states like Florida?

And Kerry is leading Iowa by only 900 votes.
efralope said:Bill Clinton signed the defense of marriage act to pander to "middle america" as well, just like Bush and Kerry are trying to do with positions not to removed from one another actually, but that could be interpreted by their own side as beneficial to their side...

As far as saying you aren't really going to care either way, consider this: the Bush administration has broken five international treaties in the past four years. What this country considers its strongest allies all give Bush an approval rating less than 10% (save for England, which isn't even high). The debt continues to balloon and Bush hasn't said one word about how he's going to get us out of it and you're going to be (along with the rest of us) paying it off for the rest of your life.
Fuck off. Seriously.Iceman said:talk about drama queens. you guys are hysterical.

The next four years are pretty critical for the international community, too.Mason said:Unfortunately, this isn't some new video game squabble. This is the future of the United States of America, and it's looking very bleak.

what did prop 65 consist of?-jinx- said:Fuck off. Seriously.
In other news, early results from California indicate that 40% (!!!) voted yes on Proposition 65. Those of you in the state should start laughing hysterically now.
You're not cynical. It is a good way of motivating right wing voters. It gets them to the polls even if they weren't going to go to vote for President.Nash said:What the hell were you doing voting on gay marriage proposals on the same night as a presidential election anyway?

edit---I take that back, I agree with the final part of your post. Young people are unmotivated and lazy when it comes to vote. I'm just barely in the 18-29 group, but when I was 18 I wasn't really concerned with politics. Of course, times were much better under Clinton.
edit2---NBC JUST CALLED OHIO FOR BUSH
