True, it does feel like he would be better suited to a team that just needs that one final piece and can afford to spend a good chunk of their budget for that window on him. Whereas United need a bunch of positions sorted. So United are going to have to be smarter about how they spend their budget, which hasn’t exactly been a strength of theirs recently.

I don't understand the merry-go-round of managers. Like when there was big Sam, Pardew, Redknapp etc all failing at one relegation fodder prem club and within a few months moving to another relegation fodder prem club... Rinse and repeat. Same happening with Rooney, he's failed at clubs multiple times, why hire him? Why not find someone in a foreign club, who's been successful, hire them, even it's it's a lower league club in France, Holland or Spain. Find someone successful. They might be the next SAF/Pep/Klopp/Wenger.

I can understand his hand being up there, it was unlucky that the ball hit it but it’s not a “natural position” for it to be in and that’s what’s going to count.

But yeh, a draw is probably a fair result. Good to see United at least walk away with a point when everyone seemed to be counting them out. Something to build on.

For sure, like Bruno said post-match if they can play like this then why can’t they do it for every match. Hopefully it gives the players the confidence that they can. But also the more time they spend on the training ground the more things should start to click. Amorim recently mentioned about how few training sessions they've had, so hopefully they can build more of an understanding of their tactical expectations.

Remember the same was said after we beat City too. So it's best to wait and see what happens. Actions speak louder than words and we never seem to turn up against "lesser" teams. Hopefully the more training will actually pay off. (I say hopefully, because it never under ETH).
