It was silly to think that anyways."$599 for 2TB Series X"

The purpose is to kill physical media. The disk version will be limited. This means only the digital versions will be available at a certain point moving forward.
The Pro is going to be $600. MinimumI feel those prices are too high if MS is serious about actually selling their consoles, especially with PS5 Pro coming this year.
That will be the point where i stop buying consoles.Don't worry physical Xbox games are dead already. They aren't even stored anymore
You should worry only when Sony and Nintendo do the same
Their current consoles are not selling, so Xbox wants to put out a newer version of those existing consoles.
Who the hell is making these decisions from Microsoft?
How? They removed the disc drive and charged more than what it was going for before. From a consumer perspective this isn't a good thing at all. It wasn't like there were supply issues before when it was $399 with a disc drive. They were producing enough. This might just hurt demand more.Should have giving us Brooklyn & the new controllers .
But this is actually a good thing because they most likely got the manufacturing cost down a little & willing to actually produce some more consoles now.
NoIs this a series x Pro? With more horsepower?
Nopes, its same series x specs wise, aka gonna be doa/big bomb sales wise.Is this a series x Pro? With more horsepower?
They need to seriously reduce the price of the consoles just to get them to sell, If you have a PC there is no reason to shell out that much for a console
Its a shame in a away as when I used to own a Series X & S, X is a really nice piece of hardware, just not used to its full potentialWith costs rising and inflation, there will likely be no price drops. This is Microsoft trying to justify keeping/raising prices of a platform few people want.
I was hoping for news on the new controller. It was rumored to be out May 24th of this year.
Path of least resistance for BOM.So the "new" Series X all digital is still square instead of round?

HeisenbergFX4 did hint that they were coming out with a more expensive Xbox.I feel those prices are too high if MS is serious about actually selling their consoles, especially with PS5 Pro coming this year.
$449 for the Digital Series X
$599 for 2TB Series X
Considering current sales, the OG XSX for $399 (or less) is best bet.only $100 separates the 4TF and 12TF machines

Yeah I was really hoping this or something like it would get announced. Tired of waiting for MS to make a modern controller.I was hoping for news on the new controller. It was rumored to be out May 24th of this year.
No, they have 1 new disc version and aren’t phasing out the existing one.Physical is not being phases out, right?
It's going to be a hard sell when PS5 Pro launches for less than 600, even with "only" 1TB SSD.
At least they're not all digital only, that's something.
Backlog in the warehouse? They aren’t selling like hotcakes.I don't understand why they waited so long with releasing a digital Series X, especially when Gamepass is such a big focus point.
Same here, it is mind boggling why they do not release this. I read a while back it could have been launched LAST Christmas but they chose not to. Either it is getting its own announcement later in the year or they are holding it back for the next gen Xbox. Dumb decision, IMO. I have bought COUNTLESS games on PS5 just for haptics, even paid for them when I could have otherwise played them for "free" on GamePass. They needed this out years ago. Things like haptics might not seem like a big deal, but when it comes down to Xbox vs PS5 in a like for like graphical scenario, i'm still going to be picking up the PS5 version due to the controller.
