An Absolute Desaster
Perhaps we misunderstood. Biggest technological leap is something which Apple is known for. Since IPhone is also a XBOX, perhaps they speak about that…
Fuck that, if that ever becomes the norm I’m playing exclusively on a Vita til I die.Launchers on consoles!
If it’s the same thing, Microsoft also needs to ensure you can play Xbox games on PC so that existing libraries don’t get left behind. Microsoft already built an Xbox 360 emulator for the Xbox One, and I think it will do the same to bring Xbox games to PC. Last month, I wrote about how Microsoft can turn Windows PCs into an Xbox and improve the Windows handheld situation at the same time.
Opinions opinions.Shame that the XSX didn't sell well, its the best product out there, powerful enough, meticulously designed, sleek, aesthetically pleasing and packed with MS/DirectX tech, clearly it should have decimated PS5 but it has not and I believe its a combination of Xbox Series S + gamepass/netflix type game releases which are also on PC and lack of marketing/word of mouth in many countries outside America.

How the fuck will the XSX sell? Esp. when PS5 is priced similar, has a much more powerful brand image + lot of marketing, lot of first party timed (exlusives) titles and is readily available in most stores/Amazon etc?
- Hardcore gaming enthusiasts have a PC and get gamepass.
- Gaming enthusiasts in most developing countries ((most of the non-mobile gamers are students or mid 30s guys, everyone else is on mobiles grinding candy crush or some mobile battle royale)) have a decent PC (gaming is not a priority) and few of those who have money to spend do subscribe to gamepass but mostly pirate games as the prices MS sets are exorbitant, regional pricing is a shitshow.
- Casuals just get the Series S and plug it and just play, resolution or frames don't matter too much. It's cheap (with pass) and it works.
Just check the "Rent/Reselling" community in any country and you'll immediately realize which console is winning. Unfortunate because I really like XSX and if I did not have a powerful PC I would have got it.
Build quality. PlayStation 5 feels cheap next to the Series X.Let me cut you a slice of reality pie.
The XSX is not the best product out there. Not only does the PS5 routinely outperform the Series X in head to head performance match ups, but the PS5 Digital for far more people is a much better buy and it certainly was even more so at launch when it was 400 dollars compared to 500 dollars. There are many massive differences between the PS5 and XSX aside from price though
- The PS5 actually has a next generation controller where as Microsoft did nothing to deliver an improved controller
- Despite initial reactions from many the PS5 has the better storage expansion solution.
- 4 years after launch, you can get a PS5 1TB SSD for as cheap as 70 dollars while a 1TB drive on XSX costs 160 dollars (currently on sale for 150)
- You can get 2TB SSDs for PS5 the price of a 1TB SSD on XSX...
- A 2TB XSX expansion drive runs 360 dollars (currently on sale for 219)
- The 4TB XSX expansion drive can only store games, it can't play them
- XSX has no support for VR
- There is no PS Portal equivalent on XSX unless you want to get a PC Streaming device for significantly more money
- Combine that with a significantly better software library and yeah, it's really no contest
That's not even getting into the territory of the PS5 Pro which from the start was a much better buy than the 2TB XSX...
The only real advantages XSX has over PS5 don't really matter much; quick resume and AMD Freesync.
It really doesn’t.Build quality. PlayStation 5 feels cheap next to the Series X.
You hold your Series X with your hands every day? What does that ever matter lol?Build quality. PlayStation 5 feels cheap next to the Series X.
They do have a “streaming stick”!and it’s Amazon’s fire stick!! I haven’t seen one video of gameplay or anything from it!if they can actually make the streaming stick work, i think they have a real possibility of a killer product. Just my opinion. But they should release a beefy console running windows, and an xbox branded handheld pc, along with the streaming stick, they could potentially have a killer set up going.
MS will never make the mistake of a 2 sku platform ever again. The S was a debacle and held back the X. They’ll make one powerful next gen console and use all their own devs and the ones purchased will pump out 1st party games.Different devices

Nope, I'm pretty sure it will be the other way around. If they only made 1 SKU it would be like Series S and not X, S is the ones that sold "well" over there.MS will never make the mistake of a 2 sku platform ever again. No I mean that the handheld & the console are not the same devices.MS will never make the mistake of a 2 sku platform ever again. The S was a debacle and held back the X. They’ll make one powerful next gen console and use all their own devs and the ones purchased will pump out 1st party games.
