Consoles:
If the "next gen" has backwards compatibility I'll just sell it and put that money towards the new one
If it doesn't I'll usually just keep it but put it in storage.

Physical games:
If I really liked it or it came with a cool Steelcase I'll keep it and put it on display
Otherwise I'll just sell it when I'm done with it

Stored for the really old stuff. Others like Vita are left out and picked up occasionally.

Sega and atari consoles are boxed

Right now all my old consoles are either down in my basement or closet. I'd like to have them all hooked up one day.

I store my old consoles, but I very rarely plug them back in. It's just way too tiresome, especially with pre-hdmi hardware. Honestly I would rather run an emulator than spend x minutes (hours?) preparing everything... and then probably have enough after playing a few games.

I think I'm going to sell off some old systems next year. I've been holding onto a Star Wars themed Xbox 360 and a PS3 super slim. Frankly, about 95% of what would interest me to play/replay from that gen is on PC, been ported/ remastered up to current systems or BC on the Xbox side ( like the Gears series, Lost Odyssey, etc). Or I can emulate some stuff on the Legion Go. Those systems have been stored in bins for like 3 years now. Mind you I sold off my Series X earlier this summer but maybe down the line when the bottom has completely fallen out on its pricing I'll grab another one, or just wait and see what Microsoft's strategy is going forward for legacy Xbox( console) content. If I can access my digital library on a handheld I'd rather that over a regular console, either their own portable or partnering with one of the Windows handheld companies

Systems I'm keeping for now: a SNES with some games, a SNES 3DS Xl with games and a SNES mini( notice the theme lol?). I have a Saturn but the A/V plug needs replacing and some games, frankly if someone like Analogue produces a Saturn FPGA I'd rather that than the OG at this point.

I sold or threw away all my old physical games. I've moved over to completely digital now.

Typically, I sell my old consoles, but I still have a 360 stashed in the closet. I will probably get rid of it eventually, though.

Used to just throw them away, but gave my PS3 to my nephews and they enjoyed it and eventually even got a PS5, also i sold for the first time my PS4 Pro and got some money from it so from now on i will sell them.

I currently have both Kinects hooked up and on the TV. I was messing around with them.
The Kinect v1 works better when it is on top of the tv. It works like crap on the bottom.

The Kinect v2 works great no matter where you put it. I wish it was backwards compatible with the 360 games.

The annoying thing about the Kinect v2 is that Microsoft actully made it difficult to set it up on the pro edition of the XBox One.
You actually have to get a special third party kit to hook it up.

They went in to the storage room until i decided to get rid of all the things i no longer needed and then threw the consoles and games away

All of the above. When N64 came out I traded in my NES, Genesis and Game Boy at Funcoland. Now I won't get rid of the replacements I later grabbed at tag sales during the "this is just worthless old junk" years. Some stuff is stored, others even hooked up. I've been a little tempted to sell lately to reduce redundancy, but still get cold feet. Just can't part with my store bought ice blue N64 even though there's a pile of accumulated black ones.

I store them in the furniture, not necessarily showing them. But yeah, depends, the wii i gave it to my nephew and never seen again. The PS3 fat is too fat and i left it in the garage, in the house i have only the slim one. But i never sell them, it has no sense, especially if at the end of the life cycle they're worth nothing, and that small money aren't going to make any difference for me.
