Yeah. It sounded like it is the final patch for the game. So, I assume they fixed everything up.

Has anyone tried out the new patch? It is a 50GB patch. I am going to see if they now fully support DualSense on the PC.
Haptics/vibration doesn't work at all with the dualsense. at least it didn't for me. If you enable steam input the vibration is enabled but the vibration is overly aggressive. i tried with a Dualshock 4 and it works fine.

I don't quite get why they can't get it to work. EA gets it to work on their games.

I hope we get more from this game, it's very good.

Would want more story DLC or a sequal and or some kind of MP.

Just finished Hogwash. This was a pretty good game. Didn't expect it to be this good. And it's from Warner fucking Brothers. They just massacred the whole fucking gaming industry and shamed everyone with this surprise hit.

I could forget the too elaborate dialogues and some old and overused mechanics, but overall, it was pretty good. I wanted to shove harry Potter into a lake or something, but didn't appear in the game. Sadly. Good to see that film execs don't let the we wank all day and night bullshit go rampant in their game studios, yet.

LOL damn, just did the previously PS5 exclusive Hogsmeade quest on my PC version. Mother fuckers were holding out on us all this time, this side quest was fantastic and I'm a little annoyed that Sony paid them to keep us from having this quest for as long as they did. Anyways, I beat the game ages ago but never uninstalled it so I'm happy that I could just load my old clear save and go through it.

If you are on PC, Xbox, or Switch you should reinstall it if necessary and go back and do this quest. it's worth spending the time to get your copy of HL up and running again just to do it.

I'm playing the game on PS5. The atmosphere is magnificent. The game have shortcomings but in general it gives so much fun.

But I gave up on the game because of performance issues. The reason for me the gave up was this: When I was out of Hogwarts castle and in the Highlands and when I open menu or map, after closing it and returning to the game, all the grass textures disappers. And after 4-5 seconds they load up. And it happens all the time. This was so immersion breaker for me.

I read that it started to happen with the summer patch. Is this true (I didn't play the game before, didn't know the state of the game)? Because I cannot belive they released the game with this texture pop in problems. And do you have solution for this texture pop in problem or we need another patch from the devs?

I got the game on release, played for 2 hours and put it in my “I’ll get right back to that” pile. Got it back out this week and I’m several hours in again and really loving it. I’m wary of the common warning that it gets boring soon, but so far it’s fun! Game looks great, combat is very active and enjoyable. It’s one of the few games where I actually listen to the dialogue instead of reading and skipping. It feels like I’m in my own little Harry Potter movie.

I think it helps I kinda taking a break from “thinky” games (Factorio, etc) and chilling with some Ubisoft style map clearing.

Tried some of the mod support, changed the hair and changed to modern outfits and spent about an hour in the dungeon of doom; it's pretty cool

Of course enabling mods disables achievements, which is a bit lame but also understandable since some of them are straight up cheats/unlocks.
You can only play with the mods from the mod menu though, it copies your save and then it enables for that save specifically; upon loading the save I believe it completely restarted the game, perhaps it's running the exe with different arguments or something.

Yeah tried it myself before testing mods, and it was a great quest, really wack that it was exclusive for a year.

The new update is a shitshow on PC.

The game always had very poor performance but now it's unplayable & crashes a lot on my 4090.
Also, Frame Generation is broken and my frametime is all over the place when i enable it (if that could be even worse).

Such a shame. And this game is not safe on ps5 either because it’s one of few games that require to patch the disc version to be playable. So no old safe version from the disc either

This game never ran well unfortunately, specially when enabling rt effects which are also horrible from an IQ perspective. Those grainy noisy reflections stood out the most.

Can you imagine. Open mod support. But they break all 3rd party mods and only want you to use mods through their proprietary mod manager that has to go through approval. On top of that it tanks performance.

"Due to changes to both data serialization and upgrades to our Raytracing features in the Hogwarts Legacy engine, level code changes were made that will break all 3rd Party MODs that use skeletal mesh assets made before the latest patch."

This is very reminiscent of when Resident Evil REmakes adding Ray Tracing and broke everything there too.

Did you have mods or edited the ini files ?
I deleted mods and commented the added lines to an ini file and it looks and run better than before.

Using DLSS Balanced with Framegen on a 4K TV with HDR enabled.
I did not play for long but it did not crash in 30-40 minutes.

All I know is that I 100% completed the game ages ago, but I never could get the Platinum on PS5 due to some crazy inventory bug that continues to show I am one collectible short even though I collected it. I reported the bug multiple times. It's been going on two years and I check again with every new patch, but nothing. It's never been fixed or even acknowledged. I won't buy another one of their games.
