As I said, 1st party published, which always is a big plus (seems not for Tamaran:lol ).Eddz said:So is Phoenix Wright/Trauma Center in the UK.
Would you class them 1st, or 3rd party?
what kind of GBA numbers?jarrod said:Do you happen to have any GBA numbers for comparison too?

No...1 for GB...2 for GB...1+2 for PS and CH for GBA.jesusraz said:I thought Caravan Heart was DQM4...wasn't there a DQM3 on the GBC? Also, this kind of shows that with the massive power of the DS DQM: J is surely a VERY strong contender for a million easily.
Barf_the_Mog said:Hasn't Final Fantasy historically sold about 90% of its total sales in the first week? And even then, wasn't it mostly in the first day of release? Could we see total sales only at, say, 600,000? I believe that I predicted 800,000, by the way.
DefectiveReject said:Not on DS, maybe on PS but on DS a game sells as long as it sells and keeps going. Also this is one days sales, not one weeks sales. I expect it'll be 500,000 or more this week alone
Normally though, if a game hits big to begin with on DS it'll have legs.
It would have sold out if they bundled a game from a more popular franchise with a more popular handheld.cvxfreak said:And so we can safely conclude that about 25,000 DSLs were produced with FFIII, and surprisingly not all of it sold out.

The worst selling 3rd party game is on the DS, this only reinforces the fact that 3rd party games sell worse on the DS. Like the fact that Rune Factory sold more than double all the PSP games there combined, or FFIII sold even better than that matters. Pfft! And donny2112 only helps confirm that the PSP is on the rise and the DS is on a big downfall.Spire said:I assume that's a joke, considering how a third party DS game sold better than everything else on the chart combined.

donny2112 said:Obviously the PSP is the better handheld this year. Just look at this comparison to the figures for this week last year.
apujanata said:Yeah, don't forget to mention that next week, there is a very strong probability that DSL will get 300K+ sales, and the week after that DSL will drop at least 30% (to 200K), which re-confirm neoGAF "arm chair analyst" that DSL is in a downward trend, and going to lose to PSP.

amazing numbers for ffiii, i honestly didn't expect 500k for the first week. obviously this means more major square-enix love for ds and more ff games. i'm hoping for a new, more tradtional, ffiii like, ff.neo2046 said:unconfirmed

surprisingly low for nsmb, if it was dropping you'd expect a slower decline rather than near 40%. i wonder if nintendo purposely undershipped the game this week to give ffiii the limelight...
harvest moon also sold great. seems like this is a definite turning point for ds and third parties.
don't know if this has been posted but www.gamefront.de is reporting nintendo is shipping ~150k of black ds lites for its launch this saturday.
yeah, i saw the thread, i was just saying it's amazing to have such high sales. before the reports of people lining up and first day numbers, i didn't expect such high sales.DefectiveReject said:There's a thread that reported 500,000 sales, so its not unexpected (to me anyway)
Also Marios numbers are great considering those likely to have bought Mario probably went for FFIII this week.

I have saved this quote for future reference. You of all people should know that you cannot predict what DS software sales will do.AniHawk said:Never. FF games usually blow their wad in their first week.
60k next week, and then the game will feature a half-life of one week until it's off store shelves.
