Hellblade II is as lifeless as it gets and mainly looks so good because of all areas it's lacking in. Which is why I can't give it the top score. In my eyes, it loses out to several games that do one or multiple things better.
Hellblade II reminds me of those old Nvidia demos, where you had a detailed female model posing in an empty, boring environment.

This is why most screenshots show off the main protagonist's face up close.
This is why most trailers and videos showed off the main protagonist's face as she was doing her cringe tryhard expressions.

Hellblade for sure. I don't really get the hype with Astrobots visuals. They're fine but nothing outstanding to me. It doesn't even have AO!
Astrobot looks like a mid ps4 game but people let their enjoyment for a game being a factor when they judge graphic, strangely enough.

Even including the physics doesn't make the graphic better or stuff like zelda tiktok, noita and just cause 4 should be on top of every list.

On pure visuals alone, I don't think anything comes close to Hellblade 2 but it's basically a tech demo. It's more like the Matrix demo than a game. There is no clear winner to me because Hellblade 2 isn't a game, Silent Hill 2 just runs really bad and stutters too much, and while Astro Bot has some of the most satisfying physical objects to hit around, it looks like a PS4 game but at 4k.

Helldivers 2 for me.
Not a graphic powerhouse but the moment to moment cinematography and world interaction make it punch above its weight (i played on pc where it probably look better than console).

If we are talking about the game as a game, then Black Myth: Wukong has no competitors. If as a technological demo, where you just press the forward button and watch cutscenes, then Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, it’s hard to call it a game, there were comparisons with The Order: 1886, but there at least some gameplay was present, although yes, it is also essentially a technological demo.
To all who vote for - Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, I have nothing against the game, but we are talking about graphics, so we need to issue coupons to the ophthalmologist without waiting in line for 2025. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

I think there are different tiers of playable tech demos.

Hb2 is inbetween matrix demo and ryse\the order but closer to the latter.

I thought I was the only one who though it’s cinematics where out of Uncharted 3’s code.

I see many are still discounting Hellblade 2 because it’s ‘not a game’.

Felt like a game when I played it. 🤷‍♂️

For reference, a better looking Ryse is exactly what it felt and played like (somebody above mentioned this).

Although I enjoyed Ryse more at the time 😉.

It’s like dismissing a ‘game of the year’ because it doesn’t have the best graphics out of all the games out there.

Clearly written by someone who hasn’t actually played the game.

Purely based on graphics it’s Hellblade 2.

The only other game on that list which looks above great is Flight Simulator.

Everything else looks nothing special in the slightest.
