After Part 3, I'd love to see Square Enix merge all three games into a single, definitive experience. This would refine gameplay, improve pacing, and create a more immersive journey.

I'll need to have an entire SSD dedicated to that experience. Instead of swapping discs, swapping SSDs every time you want to play for that authentic FF7 feel.

Now excuse me, i have to play one of the countless 50-100+ hours abnormous open worlds with 10x times the amount of text, map size and content of your average old ff.

Is it tho? And at this point who cares? The messaging and optics around the game just makes it sound like they really don't want it as a timed exclusive anyway so if that's the case, why pay for timed exclusivity?
Everything coming out of these guys' mouths feels like a wink in support of "certain" anti-exclusivity narratives that aren't even true (i.e Jamboree, Astro Bot, Helldivers 2 if you're just talking among console releases etc.). Clear there's a reason they keep messaging this way; do what you want as a 3P but just come right out and say it. Enough with the ambiguous talk.
SIE are probably better off using that money on their own 1P game development and marketing instead. Let Square-Enix handle their own development and marketing, if they think they can do it on their own.

Sounds like this willrelease on PS5 first (probably late 2026 or early 2027) and will be a timed exclusive for 1 year, if contracted by Sony.
Otherwise it will release on PC and Switch 2 at the same time or shortly after PS5 release.
