Almost is NOT a good keyword. Unlike dive, save.

didn't nintendo already announced they will launch the black, red, etc. colored wiis somewhere around march in japan??
was there more to the info? Mario kart wii bundled with a red wii?
If anyone can set things straight , I'll be grateful.
Not feeling like adding much to the thread eh? Important as in known titles showing in the amazon chart. There is only a DS Tennis game at #84 other than those.Pureauthor said:Important by what standard?

it never stops amazing me that nintendo won't make a single, not even one move to increase enthusiasm as long as they can't catch up with demand worldwide. With Wii fit and Smash Bros targeting both the casual, new breed of gamers and the traditional nintendo hardcore gamers in Japan, I think we won't see colors or bundles anytime soon anywhere, not even in Japan where wii demand was at its lowest worldwide.
Now, if nintendo could reach the only sector of gamers they can't seem to reach, the traditional hardcore, I can't imagine the level of domination.
Once Mario has depleted all the coins from a block, it's just a waste of his time to keep jumping and hitting it.sphinx said:it never stops amazing me that nintendo won't make a single, not even one move to increase enthusiasm as long as they can't catch up with demand worldwide.

January 21, 2008 - Collectors of all things Sega are going to need to book a flight to Japan for this one. Sega Japan has announced a promotional campaign for its two big upcoming PlayStation 3 titles. To help push Yakuza 3 and Valkyrie of the Battlefield, the company will distribute a promotional set to those who purchase product from the Sega Direct e-commerce site, or those who sample the games at an upcoming demo event.

As for the DVD, when played in a standard DVD player, it offers trailers of the two games. Play it in your PC or PS3, however, and you'll get to view HD versions of the trailers and gain access to some wallpapers.
Sega will produce 100,000 of these promotional sets. To make sure you get one, either purchase a product through Sega Direct, or make sure you're at one of the following locations at the right time:

Wow thats a shit ton of SSBB preorders. How many new preorders have you gotten in like the past week.AniHawk said:Huge Brawl numbers
AniHawk said:It's been a while.
1. Super Smash Bros. Brawl
2. Grand Theft Auto IV
3. God of War: Chains of Olympus
4. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
5. Devil May Cry (it could happen) 4
About 15. At its current rate, I think it'll wind up somewhere between 350-375 before all is said and done.Chumly said:Wow thats a shit ton of SSBB preorders. How many new preorders have you gotten in like the past week.

Halo 3 was the absolute biggest at our store with over 500 reservations. The second biggest was Halo 2 with 400 reservations. Looks like SSBB will end up third.kottila said:How many did Halo 3 have when that launched?
AniHawk said:God of War: Chains of Olympus - 40

apujanata said:If SSBB did end up with 350 - 375, that means it March (first month sales) could be 2.3 - 2.45 (calculating from 500 Halo 3 preorder converted into 3.3 Million NPD # for Halo 3).
Tideas said:Could PSP hardware pass DS # this week?
Plausible anyone?
Stumpokapow said:I can't imagine Nintendo will ship that many copies, to be quite frank. They've already sent out warnings to Japan and some US retailers saying "stop selling pre-orders because your launch allocation barely covers them".
Magicpaint said:The DS doesn't really need to outsell the PSP hardware-wise, when you've hit 20 million, somehow, you've got to start slowing down a little bit, and the PSP is in the best shape it has ever been in Japan, so I'd expect the PSP to start consistently outselling the DS until either a price drop or a new model is announced.
For now though, the DS will still have the lionshare of software sales, but I'm sure devs are taking notice of the recent PSP sales surge. It's too hard to ignore.

Obviously, considering Disgaea is a niche title.Kurosaki Ichigo said:- Disgaea 3 only #12, uhm...I smell danger here.

It's not like 100k/week is not a HUGE number... Nintendo wouldn't be able to suply Wiis if they had more Wii Fits... So i don't think they understimated it...marc^o^ said:This Wiifit 100K/week pattern seems to show Nintendo underestimated its success again.
If so, we won't see Wiifit in the West for a long time.
