And then we have this asinine strawman that if you have preference for one, then it means you hate the other. Or if you have preference for both, then you hate women who don't have either. You can totally have a preference for one (or many things) while also being capable of finding people without those traits attractive.

I will say, as for your first paragraph, it would be pretty much the same thing on the assumption that men were the marginalized sex who have been suffering under matriarchal objectification for a significant proportion of human history and still suffer under it significantly in modern contexts. Too bad that's not how things are today (hoo boy, what a world that'd be!).
This topic has been "big asses > pancake asses", "fake boobs ruined tits", "big boobs, imagine when they're 50, greasy things hanging all over the place, eww", "flat asses are not appealing", "I've never liked big breasts", "I've never liked small breasts", "a shapely ass is far more attractive than a pair of boobs".
Maybe if women in porn didn't have so many fake tits, people would like them more?
Again though, none of those are remotely common sentiments in this thread. Most people just seem to express enthusiasm for one or the other. Many people say "I love them both, but prefer x". I'm flipping through all the pages and it's not that often people have an unkind word to say about breasts or butts.
I don't think it'd be going out on a limb to say that a thread about hair color would probably contain some dumb hyperbole as well.

It annoys me when pornstars with small tits (with a perfect booty) are asked by their managers to get breast implants. They almost ALWAYS look less attractive as a result.Right, not a fake boobs guy at all really.

I mean, you can take it however you want. The fact remains that something about this thread makes me deeply uncomfortable and I'm just trying to put those feelings into words the best way I know how. If that's not enough to get you to understand where I'm coming from then I'm obviously not capable of doing it, so, eh.

You would say "I guess I prefer blond hair".

For example Rebecca Linares
"big booty Latina milf anal" lol.
Dont wanna seem rude, but you absolutely sure those are quotes from the first page?
Anyway in regards to the topic. On the one hand I can definitely see where you are coming from. More often than not threads like these merely propagate the sexist objectifying of women and( some times males). Heck the reason why I stay out of dating website survey threads is cause they are extremely depressing to read as a black guy.
But on the other hand given the nature of the topic, it is almost inevitable that it would largely be men giving their preferred focus between the two given "options". Its not a deep or a nuanced discussion but its what you get from this kind of topic.
Either way Im not too attached to the thread that I would lament its closing.
I do like butts for the record
]I think a big part of it is the fact that it is ubiquitous. Especially since I'm into a lot of Japanese media, I am basically always knee-deep in that sort of fandom bullshit,
Ass is overrated
Anime was a mistake.I don't watch porn
But stating those preferences freely is kind of a sign of privilege. Plus, it's actually off-topic. I keep saying this, but anecdotes do not disprove trends or statistics, and this is a thread about statistics. This is a good on-topic post:No it wouldn't!
Look, I get what you're saying. I really do. I understand there is the whole issue of power dynamics that applies to many, many other situations. But this case is not one of them. Having a preference for a certain physical trait has nothing to do with what you're talking about.
But I guess it would be a short-lived thread if we actually stayed on-topic, huh? This article uses faulty logic to make some potentially misleading conclusions. The data doesn't necessarily support the conclusion that Millennials are less interested in breasts because specifically searching for breasts isn't necessary to return images and videos of breasts. There is conflicting evidence because the top three porn stars on Pornhub are Kim Kardashian, Mia Khalifa, and Lisa Ann. All three are very well endowed.
The information about implants doesn't support the conclusion about a generational preference either, since it's about year to year trends. The overall trend has been a steady increase since the surgery was first introduced. A People article released a few months ago reported that breast augmentation was the most popular cosmetic surgery in the US for two years in a row.

Breast augmentation was also the most popular cosmetic surgery world wide in 2016, with 1,649,271 surgeries. There were only 465,665 breast reductions and 155,453 implant removals:
http://www.isaps.org/Media/Default/Current News/GlobalStatistics2016.pdf
Only 300,791 people opted for fat transfer ass augmentation, and 31,330 had ass implants only. Those type of numbers don't support the idea that everyone is turning towards ass now.
I don't know, really. I'm mostly just letting out grievances because I don't really know what to do with these feelings otherwise.I agree with some of what you say about the tone of the topic being stupid and finding it strange that people want to come onto neogaf and talk about what turns them on or whatever, but I'm a bit confused as to why you're taking issue with the thread. I opened it absent-mindedly and wouldn't have posted, probably most members did a similar thing, but some of them like to joke and make dumb posts about sex, so they did.
The topic is pretty clearly labelled that it's going to be about millenials (ie, this is you neogaf member!) preferring butts over boobs in porn searches...so you're gonna get a bunch of millenials talking about whether they prefer one over the other.
Is it that men shouldn't be talking or joking about their sexual preferences in a public forum? You don't seem to be saying that, but I could understand that - but then that would have to apply across the board, and there's a variety of threads about different kinds of sexuality that people seem to like talking about.
This might seem like an attack but I'm just asking - is the fact that it makes you uncomfortable a good reason to ban a certain kind of topic? Or do you just want to have the thread include that you don't like it?
I just don't see what you think should happen, I don't see what the resolution is. You don't like the thread, fair enough. I don't think it's particularly great, either. It's not the same thing, but if I see a topic that I knew was going to annoy me or make me feel bad about myself, I stay out of it - or, if I was concerned about it, I'd maybe report it.
The thread is probably on track to be locked. Maybe that's the only thing for it, I just felt like asking a bit about what you think should happen/why with this kind of thing.

In this particular case I think mods should have locked it down as soon as it became apparent it would devolve into a yet another ridiculous boobs vs ass thread. I mean, we have a rule against list threads (where people just list things they like without any explanation), and this thread really felt like it had no more content on offer than those usually do.
I had similar issues with the thread where the guy trotted out his breast-implant-obtaining wife like some kind of trophy, by the by. Something about that sort of thing just feels deeply wrong to me and I don't feel like it should really be allowed.
Normally I would indeed ignore these threads, but... again, the microaggression thing. It adds up. At some point I just throw my hands into the air and scream "Fuck this!" and start posting. It's just one of those things.
I mean that's a pretty good search

Thighs are where it's at.
Millennials just want someone to watch Netflix with
Physical attraction is shallow, it's pretty much inherent to it.
And porn can probably be summarised to Physical attraction and fetish ( ? ).
The truly stupid thing would be to summarize love/dating to that too ( thought denying that physical attraction usually play a role would be stupid too ), but let's be real, if most people were that shallow, humankind would be on the brink of extinction.
Variety is the spice of life.
I'm happy to be open minded about women's bodies (up to a point, unhealthy looking people are not attractive to me). I like tall & athletic, small and perky, curvy & busty, slim or bubble booty... It's all fine, they all look good to me.
Really, if anything else this just shows that what's being said is correct: millennials are the worst. No amount of snark, smarm or memes will obfuscate this fact.
I guess I'm a proud old man, because....
I wonder how much of this is really more of an old people suck at the internet thing because who the hell is searching for big boobs on a pornhub. Its like googling google.
can we talk about feet for a second
can we talk about feet for a second
It'll be a bummer for y'all when exposed breasts are unsexualized and commonplace. The rest of our naked form too, but women's nipples especially.
I'm so mad I'm not going to be around for our society to mature.
Society will never, ever, be that mature
Can we discuss creampies, too?can we talk about feet for a second
Not mature like in a "stop having fun" sense, mature like in a "women's bodies are normal and don't need to be hidden" sense
Can we discuss creampies, too?
How you were made in the cesspool of your mother's cervix. Can we discuss creampies, too?
