Zen5 Review Thread.

I knew AMDs slides were wrong because they blatantly skewed the results with their testing method.

If Intel does it with Arrow Lake I'll call them out too.

No. You said AMD slides were wrong, because you are the biggest Intel fanboy.

And you never called out the lies when Intel manipulated their compiler. When they used a chiller to pretend their CPUs could clock much higher. When Intel hired Principled technologies to falsify benchmarks.
Or when Intel only presented synthetic benchmarks for their IPC numbers.

Why can't you get over the fact that I was right about the whole AMD marketing BS thing.

You are not some super man that could see into the future.
We all knew those slides were padded. They always are. That is why I told you so many times that what matters is always the independent reviews.

If you couldn't look at the endnotes and know there was something very wrong, then you don't even have 1/4th the CPU knowledge you think you do...

LOL. You forget how many times I corrected you.
And how I have taught you about basic things. FFS, you don't even know about caches and I had to correct you, while defending Intel's 13th gen CPUs.

And you insist on some stupid powerpoint slides, when everyone else cares is about independent reviews.

Some really impressive gains, both from Zen4 and Zen5, with the fix enabled.
I hope MS releases this update soon for Win11 23H2. I'm not too keen on installing the preview for 24H2.
Yeah will be good to see some other reviewers tests when they get round to it as well as I’m still on zen3 would be nice if there’s decent gains there too.

Not keen on installing the preview myself either will wait but fingers crossed it’s soon.

So to maximise gaming performance we all need to disable OBS, run in admin mode, set up a firewall server(try to compensate for security) and update W11 to H2-24.

Well damn, that is a impressive uplift for AMD in Windows. This might actually make regular Zen 4 faster then Raptor Lake in gaming.
A 10% boost in their 9700X review would be enough to tie the 14900K. Though it looks like they tested a lot of games there that didn't benefit much from the patch. However this could give the 9700X a chance to tie with the Core Ultra 5 245K and might put the 7800X3D beyond the reach of the Core Ultra 9 285K.

Crazy as it sounds,im really starting to wondering is it worth it to upgrade from my I5 12400f to 9800x3d when it comes out?

Some games have insane gains, gears 5 has 35% increase wtf

What a rollercoaster!
1.) Jayz2cents was able to solve the issue many 7950x3D owners are having that he learned based on the upcoming 9950 benchmarking. I had no idea that my bios needed to be changed from Auto to Driver. This is why even a clean install did nothing... So a year later, I had a huge uplift in performance thanks to people figuring out the issue when preparing to benchmark Zen 5.
2.) Microsoft releases Windows 24H2 that increases Zen 4 and 5 performance. My performance has another notable increase.

My 7950x3D is now way faster than before. Has this ever happened before?
