"coping"How about you give me an official number from Sony about how many copies sold before coping about some leaked data lol
Are you only capable of watching young women in a TV show if you want to fuck them or something? Never understood this creepy criticism of Bella Ramsey.
Killing off Joel immediately destroyed my interest
Also, Neil has no trouble lying about what they are working on. So there's that. I just won't take anything he says about upcoming work at face value. It's a meta game he plays so nothing gets spoiled and he keeps the audience guessing. Outside of having fun with speculation, his words cannot be trusted.

I'm sure he's doing the same with Intergalactic:
That tends to happen when you make one of the best games of all time.... The first game made such an impact that it was still relevant enough 10 years later to get a TV show and a sequel, so its not like there isnt demand for more content. And remasters and needless remakes and the constant yapping about it on their social for years. Im so over it
I'm not buying it. I expect TLOU Part 3 will come out on PS5/PS6 eventually.
But wasn't Part 2 a huge success according to people? Why would they be leaving that kind of money on the table?
Sony are probably bringing the hammer down after seeing the decline in sales compared to the first game.
After Intergalactic bombs watch Sony instruct them to make Uncharted 5: the quest for more money.
While I did enjoy the second one, hot mess and all, the first game really was an overall complete package that at least story-wise was the best place to wrap up.I’d like that.
But I was fine with how TLOU1 ended. It was the perfect ending. They should’ve stopped there tbh.
I can only pray Neil is being honest
Everyone is quietly sick of TLOU they are just afraid of saying it because it will get them canceled
The show is complete garbage and the quality of the GoT spin offs have been mixed so far. But better to have the source material ready, we already saw what happened with GoT when ASOI&F was unfinished. Why does HBO need another game? If the TV show continues to be a hit, expect a bunch of spinoff TV shows, just like Game of Thrones
How do you contradict yourself?
Saying she was going to die anyway doesn't mean she wasn't willing to give Joel time to escape lol.
The form she chose to die is the act of heroic action you choose to ignore.
To be fair, or at least as fair as possible, a lot of people can simply not tolerate or warm up to unattractive protagonists. Male or female. There's a reason most successful movie stars are always handsome/beautiful. Quite often, actual talent may even be secondary. Doesn't have to be just so you want to sleep with them. It's a visual medium, so we seem to want them to be pleasing to our eyes. This superficial bias starts early in school. If you aren't that good looking, the odds are stacked heavily against you to become a lead protagonist in a play. Worse if you are female. Are you only capable of watching young women in a TV show if you want to fuck them or something? Never understood this creepy criticism of Bella Ramsey.
You are the vast minority with that opinion. It's arguably HBO's biggest show this decade. The show is complete garbage and the quality of the GoT spin offs have been mixed so far. But better to have the source material ready, we already saw what happened with GoT when ASOI&F was unfinished.
Part II is possible closing in 20m. units sold, but for GAF is a Flop, Bomb and whatever.
Truth to be told numbers don't lie, and the game keeps selling.
It's called bad casting. There is nothing creepy about critizing her being Ellie. It's not even like a book, where you can take certain liberties with how a character looks, she literally looks nothing like Ellie, not even remotely. Let's just cast Jack Black as Superman while we are at it.Are you only capable of watching young women in a TV show if you want to fuck them or something? Never understood this creepy criticism of Bella Ramsey.
I don't see the point. They made her as unlikable as possible so they could push the bullshit Abby story, there is no redeeming her and that's how ND wants it.I want a Part III, Ellie needs a redemption story.
Leaving it like this feels unfinished.
Nobody said it bomb, it's all in your head
Not surprising after the second game bombed hard.
Same here. It was arguably the crown jewel of Sony's PS3 exclusive games and Joel was just a really well-done character. He was a bad-ass but still relatable and nothing about his character ever felt off (if that makes sense). And then every cutscene I watched from the second game with him in it, his vibe was different. His character didn't have that same energy from the first game, Idk how else to explain it.Yeah I literally loved the IP and then stopped caring after learning about Joel’s fate. Found TLOU2 for $4 a Black Friday but haven’t even opened the box. Some say the gameplay is great and maybe it is but playing a ND game with no interest in the story makes no sense. And imagine the TV show with just Bella Ramsey and no Pedro Pascal lmao
Long story short, Joel was TLOU to me and judging by the reaction to my original comment he was TLOU to a lot of other people here too and we're all done with this franchise whether they make another game or not
I mean cool I guess? I have standards. Everything about the show was poor. You are the vast minority with that opinion. It's arguably HBO's biggest show this decade.
Druckmann works as a writer and showrunner on the TV series. Why does he need a game to write? This is not comparable to GOT, where the writer of the books refused to write anymore
He was a white man in the peak of the "we hate white men" era and they had to destroy him. Joel was TLoU, end of story. The first game was peak and will still be considered peak a hundred years from now. The second game is a hostage of the time it was made, both politically and socially, and will always been seen that way. In fact, the entire Sony library from that time to now will be seen this way as well.Same here. That is exactly the point of a classic redemption story arc!I don't see the point. They made her as unlikable as possible so they could push the bullshit Abby story, there is no redeeming her and that's how ND wants it.
I still think a prequel covering sometime frame after the initial outbreak could be interesting and I'd still love to see more of Bill's story if only a vignette.
As soon as HBO flashes that bag for a fourth season you KNOW they'll try and get the next game out ASAP. You already have assets from the online game.
Druckmann doesn't even need to direct. Just have a smaller team work on the game. A tight 12-16 hour experience is all we need. Not a 20+ hour monster.
Season 1 (TLOU1) was a huge hit, pretty likely Season 2 & 3 (TLOU2) will be a hit too. HBO pretty likely will want more after it.Why does HBO need another game? If the TV show continues to be a hit, expect a bunch of spinoff TV shows, just like Game of Thrones
Good thing Warner Bros has no influence whatsoever on what games Naughty Dog producesSeason 1 (TLOU1) was a huge hit, pretty likely Season 2 & 3 (TLOU2) will be a hit too. HBO pretty likely will want more after it.
If Neil and the showrunner want to continue the show with more seasons beyond what was included in TLOU2 (either by telling what happens after the end, or include Joel flashbacks not included in the game etc) they'll do it.
They don't need to have another game to get the content from, as they did in season 1 they can simply expand or change the story.
